Welcome to the start of your Tanzania safari and welcome to Tanzania! You've chosen a fantastic place for your safari journey, and we'll get you started with an introductory briefing before this Tanzania safari. Then, you'll head out to begin the trip you've been dreaming of. Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern Tanzania's safari parks. Here, you'll get to experience lively streets, tasty local food, and busy markets and museums. More than anything else, it's a window into life in a provincial Tanzanian city. You'll stay in the center of Arusha at Kibo Palace Hotel, which is convenient for just about everything in town. Handsome rooms are just the start. Guided Game Drive Tarangire National Park
Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants and more. Everything seems to be cast on a grander scale in Tarangire National Park from the giant baobab trees that bring such personality to the park's landscapes to the massive elephants for which the park is famous. Although a popular place to visit for travelers on safari through northern Tanzania, Tarangire rarely feels crowded, and that becomes even more true the further south you go in the park. Other wildlife to look forward to here includes big cats, zebra, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest and more. If you're really lucky, you might spy the park's transient population of African wild dog. Tarangire Elephant Springs Camp will be your base for exploring Tarangire National Park with us, and it's a terrific place to stay. Another Full day Game Drive in Tarangire
More time in Tarangire is always a bonus – this is the sort of park where the longer you stay, the better. Visiting Tarangire National Park, this is another beautiful day in your Tanzania safari. You have so much to look forward to in Tarangire. Top of any list are the elephants and the baobab trees, which are such dominant presences throughout the park. Serengeti National Park
Visiting the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Serengeti is one of the best things you can do on safari. This is a park filled with some of the largest populations of wildlife in Africa. There is a very good chance that you will see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and so many other species. The endless horizons of the savannah grasslands are the perfect backdrop for seeing so many animals. There's no better safari image than the sun setting deep red behind a silhouetted acacia tree deep in the Serengeti The Serengeti has large numbers of wildlife, quiet safari trails, and equally wonderful scenery. It's best when the migration is around, but it's good at any time of the year. You're in a fantastic location at Lahia Tented Lodge. The stylish, wood-floored safari tents sit on stilts and have excellent views from their terraces. There's a swimming pool, and the main building houses a bar and a restaurant. Western Serengeti National Park
You’ll never forget the time you spend in the Serengeti. Perhaps it will be the sightings of leopard and cheetah as they show their skills as feared hunters of the plains and valleys. Or that unforgettable moment when an elephant family feeds alongside your vehicle, so close you could almost reach out and touch them. Or the first time you hear a lion roar. Then there are the herds of buffalo, zebra, or wildebeest so large that they move as one across your horizon, like a river. All of these experiences are possible in the Serengeti, one of the most beautiful parks in Africa. Guided Game Drive southern Serengeti
There's always more to discover in the Serengeti, and you'll get more chances to do so on your return to the park. Come and see the best of Central Serengeti National Park as we take you out on a guided game drive. It really is a terrific way to feel a part of Africa with the wind in your hair as we drive you around to look for animals. Then after lunch you will do a Transfer Game Drive - From Serengeti National Park - to Ngorongoro Highlands. Our transfer this morning to the next part of your safari is also a game drive which means looking for animals as we go. Staying at Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp means surrounding yourself with all that's good about staying high on the crater rim. The views from the terrace and other places around camp are superb, while the safari tents are large, luxurious and beautifully designed. Trees surround the camp, and you'll eat and drink well in the restaurant and bar.
