You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Fly to Semera & start the trip
Arrive at Semera and drive to the volcano - it takes about 4 hours. You will visit Erta Ale, one of the most active volcanoes. You will camp some distance away from the volcano. The trek to the volcano takes about 30 minutes, so you need to bring trekking shoes, a torchlight and a mask. All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks

Day 2
Visit Dallol
Early in the morning, you will see the volcano and the beautiful sunrise. You will have breakfast at the base camp and continue driving to Hamedella (it takes about 4 hours). You will visit Dallol, which has fantastic colours. You will also see the salt mountain and Lake Asale, a salt lake. Enjoy the swimming pool, the sunset, and the open-air camping. Day 3
Visit Lake Afrera, drive back to Semera & fly to Addis Ababa
In the early morning, you will experience the sunrise and drive to Lake Afrera, one of the biggest salt lakes, where you can swim. After lunch, you will continue driving to Semera to catch your flight and return to Addis Ababa. This will be the end of the trip. All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks

Excellent tour guide!! Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Ethiopia to book some day tours with him. He is very knowledgeable with the history of Ethiopia and has a great rapport with the local museums and restaurants. When I return I'll definitely be booking a Lalibela tour.

Dan is a great guide, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. He organised a 10 day tour of Ethiopia for us. Arranging internal flights, hotels, driver's and other guides for us and he didn't want any money in advance, we just paid him cash on arrival which we thought was very trusting as we could have changed our mind leaving him out of pocket. We really enjoyed our tour he arranged and thought it was great value for money. Definitely recommend him.
