Your Gorilla Sights guide will drive you through Uganda’s scenic countryside, offering beautiful views of rolling hills, villages, and plantations along the way. You will have a stop at the famous Uganda Equator monument for a short break, washroom stop, photography, and optional craft shopping, where you can pick up unique local souvenirs. After this experience, continue the journey towards the gorilla trekking destination with a stopover for lunch and rest before proceeding to the park. Alternatively, you may choose a more convenient option by taking a morning safe flight directly to Bwindi Forest park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, saving travel time and allowing more time for relaxation before your trekking experience. Both options lead you into Uganda’s rich rainforest habitats, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Uganda safari - Bwindi forest adventure , mountain gorillas wildlife experience
Uganda gorilla trekking safari begins early in the morning with a transfer from your lodge to the briefing point inside the national park. Upon arrival, you will meet the ranger guides who will provide a short but important briefing about the trekking rules, safety guidelines, and what to expect during the gorilla encounter. After the briefing, you will be assigned a specific gorilla family to track based on your fitness level and the group’s location. You will then begin your trek into the dense rainforest, either by driving closer to the starting point or hiking directly depending on the gorilla family’s movement. The trek can take anywhere from a short walk to several hours as you navigate through thick vegetation, steep slopes, and sometimes slippery terrain. It is highly recommended to hire a local porter to assist you during the trek. The porter can carry your day pack and help support you on challenging sections of the trail, making your experience more comfortable and enjoyable. Today you will drive back to Entebbe International Airport, enjoying a relaxed journey through Uganda’s scenic countryside. Along the way, you will stop at the famous Uganda Equator monument for a memorable lunch break. Here, you can take photos, explore souvenir shops, and experience one of the most iconic geographical landmarks in the country, where the northern and southern hemispheres meet After lunch and a short break, you will continue your drive towards Entebbe, passing through rolling hills, rural villages, and beautiful landscapes that offer a final glimpse of Uganda’s natural beauty.
