Hoedspruit to Dumela Tented Camp
You will start this exciting safari early in the morning when you are picked up from your accommodation in Hoedspruit and transferred to Dumela Tented Camp. You will have time to freshen up before the real adventure starts with an afternoon sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle through the Blue Canyon Reserve, part of Greater Kruger. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes—and other fantastic wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and hippos. You will enjoy sundowners in the bush before returning to the camp, gather around the boma fire for dinner, and exchange stories about the day's adventures. Day 2
Kruger National Park
You will get up early to be ready at 5:30 am for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before as it will be decided according to animal activity at the time to give you the best opportunity for game viewing. Your safari in Kruger will last about 7 to 8 hours, during which you will venture deep into the Orpen-Satara area, where your chances of seeing lions are better than anywhere else in the park. You will return to the camp with ample time to unwind and get ready for the much-anticipated starlit dinner around the fire. Day 3
Kruger National Park to Hoedspruit
After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye and head back to Hoedspruit. You can choose between one of the following optional activities: - 1-hour bushwalk before breakfast (subject to availability) at R350 per person sharing. - 3-hour sunrise drive in Blue Canyon, Greater Kruger, at R1,250 per person sharing (minimum one person). - Panorama Route Highlights tour (includes Berlin Falls, God's Window, Blyde Canyon, and Three Rondavels) at R1,995 per person sharing (minimum two people). Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
