Overview
You'll enjoy 4 days of safari with us in our open safari vehicles for the ultimate safari feel. With a dedicated and passionate team, you will leave this safari fulfilled. You'll also head off into the Drakensberg Mountains to explore the wonders of the Panorama Route from the escarpment. Accommodation will be based in Hazyview, a mere 10 to 15 minutes' drive from Phabeni Gate. This package includes return airport transfers, bed & breakfast, dinner transfers, and all conservation fees.

Day 1
Transfer to Hazyview & Elephant Interaction Program
The Airport Shuttle departs from O.R. Tambo International Airport at 06h45. On arrival in Hazyview, you will have time to enjoy a relaxed lunch at one of the Perrys Bridge Trade Post restaurants before being collected by an Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris guide for your onward transfer to your accommodation for a 2:00 pm check-in. After a welcome drink in the beautiful and bird-rich gardens of the guesthouse, you will have time to unpack and relax before we collect you for an unforgettable one hour experience with Africa's gentle giants, the African elephant, or a fun-filled afternoon on an aerial cable trail gliding over the tree canopies along the Sabie River. Dinner will be at the guesthouse, followed by spending leisure time in your private villa. Day 2
Full-Day in Kruger National Park Safari
Your safari to the Kruger will start before sunrise in our open safari vehicle. This allows you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to help you search for iconic animals in the park, as well as interpret the natural environment. You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes and rivers during your safari to increase your chances of seeing the unexpected, breathtaking scenery. We will provide breakfast packs which you will be able to enjoy at a rest camp or a picnic spot along the route for that day. There will be a lunch stop, should you wish to purchase a lunch snack or simply stretch your legs. We return to the guesthouse at around 3:30 pm. You will have time to freshen up, relax, and reminisce over the day's sightings while you enjoy a sundowner drink at the pool or lounge areas. Dinner will be in the dining room at the guesthouse. Day 3
Kruger Morning Safari & Transfer to the Private Game
Once again, you'll wake up and set out for your final morning safari in the Kruger National Park before heading to the private game reserve. Breakfast packs will again be provided by your guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps. After leaving the park at around 11:15 am, you will be transferred back to the guest house to collect your luggage, before we drive you to Umkumbe Bush Lodge in the Sabi Private Game Reserve where you will arrive in time to settle into your suite and relax overlooking the Sand River whilst waiting for the 4:00 pm sunset safari. Your safari experience in the private game reserve will be different from that experienced in Kruger National Park, as you will experience some off-roading in a 4x4 Land Rover with no roof, which allows for a 360-degree view. After the sunset/evening safari, you'll have the opportunity to dine in true African bush style under the stars around a boma fire. Day 4
Kruger Morning Safari & Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport
You'll have one last, early wake-up before sunrise and set out for your final safari. This is your last chance to find the animals that you haven’t checked off your list yet. You'll enjoy a sumptuous breakfast overlooking the African bushveld before our guide meets you to transfer you to Hazyview, allowing enough time to be arrive at the shuttle pick-up point where you will depart to OR Tambo, arriving between 5:30 - 6:00 pm. We got to see all of the big 5 animals with our guide in Kruger, who was dedicated to finding amazing animal encounters. We had several experiences where it was just us and maybe one other car because our guide spotted the animals or got us to the location where an animal was spotted quickly. Everything was prompt and professional. Communication was great. Highly recommend!
