Day 1
Arrival & Road Transfer to From Kigali to Nyungwe National Park
Morning: Arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and lead you to the VIP lounge, assist with all the immigration procedures, sort your luggage and later introduce you to your driver guide. Proceed on a scenic drive to South Western Rwanda where Nyungwe National Park is located with an enroute stop at the Ethnographic Museum. Arriving at Munazi Eco Lodge later in the afternoon, assisted with check in followed by lunch. Rest of the day is at leisure or decide to do some complementary activities. Day 2
Chimpanzee trekking
The day begins bright and early, driving to the park headquarters at 05h00 with a delicious packed breakfast. After an insightful chimpanzee trek briefing, you’ll be escorted to the forest and the adventure begins. During the trek, you are likely to spot a wide variety of bird life, monkeys, reptiles. Their playfulness and human–like characteristics make this journey so rewarding. You may even be welcomed by chimp morning calls deep in the forest. Upon encountering the chimps enjoy their acrobatics, feeding, and day-to-day behaviors for 1 hour. Lunch at the lodge and dinner at the lodge. Day 3
Waterfall hike
Today you will have an early breakfast at the lodge before transferring to the park offices for briefing before you start the waterfall hike experience. The experience takes about 4 hours as around trip but can be shorter or longer depending on your walking pace and the stops you make. You are encouraged to bring enough water for drinking and snacks, a walking stick, rain jacket and ensure to have comfortable walking shoes. The hike is rewarding with beautiful view of the forest and you might encounter some primates and also be able to see a variety of bird species, reptiles and flowers. Later return to the lodge, freshen up an have lunch. Evening: Optional visit to Gisakura Tea estate at an extra fee or stay at the lodge relaxing. Transfer to Kigali for Departure
06h30: Breakfast at the lodge followed by check out and settle any extras before transferring to the park headquarters for a Zipline and Canopy experience which starts at 08h00. Both experiences take about 2 hours to finish. Later embark on a scenic drive back to Kigali with a stopover for lunch at a recommended restaurant. Proceed to Kigali International Airport for departure. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Our booking was originally planned for three weeks – a complete tour up to Gisenyi (for 6 people). Unfortunately, our five-year-old son became ill and was very unwell for 14 days. During this difficult time, we were not alone – you never left us on our own. For this, my entire family would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The Everetret team quickly organized a new plan: story time and 🤗 small activities to provide distraction. Healthy children and girls were taken on short outings (not far from Kigali), and every day brought something new. This allowed my husband and me to fully focus on caring for our little son. In the last week of our stay (after the 14 days), we were also able to enjoy a short break ourselves. We will see you again in August.
