Arrival
Welcome to Tanzania! Your Taswira Africa guide will be waiting for you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. We will then drive to your accommodation in Arusha (approximately a 1.5 hours drive, depending on traffic and time of arrival.) We will leave you to relax in the hotel for remainder of the day. Day 2
Tarangire
We will depart Arusha in the morning and head directly to Tarangire National Park, named after the river that runs through it which quenches the thirst of a variety of animals, including giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras and a high density of elephants. Tarangire is home to over 550 species of birds and its hilly landscape is dotted with baobabs and diverse grasses. After a morning game drive, you will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the river, late afternoon we will drive to our lodge. Day 3
Ndutu southern Serengeti
After an early breakfast, we will begin the scenic drive towards the Serengeti National Park. Along the way we will pass through the misty rain forests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you could spot some baboons, buffalo or elephants. Once we go through the gates and into the Serengeti, we will head to the Ndutu area, where thousands of young wildebeest take their first steps, joining the great annual migration. On the way to our tented camp, make sure you are looking out for wildlife! Day 4
Ngorongoro
After breakfast we will enjoy at game drive in ndutu area and stop for a picnic lunch. Heading towards the Ngorongoro Crater we will pass through varied landscapes and micro-climates – vast plains, sweeping hills and dense forests. We will arrive early evening at your selected accommodation. Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast we will drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s safari highlights. The name Ngorongoro is from a Maasai word meaning ‘Gift of Life’. You will begin with taking in the magnificent views from the crater rim before descending into the crater itself. You will have the opportunity to see elephants, lions, buffalo, zebra and many other species of animals and birds. We will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the hippo pool. The Ngorongoro Crater is beautiful at any time of year and teaming with wildlife. You may experience clear views of the crater bowl or mists rolling down into the base - either way a memorable experience. We will travel back to Arusha City for the early evening. Perfect amount of time to cover everything we wanted to. Johnson was the best!! So accommodating and made sure we were all great. Stayed in all different level properties to get different feels for different types of lodges. Definitely had our favorites. Would have liked to have done a sunrise drive. Great value!!!

Unforgettable Safari
Our safari with Taswira was simply perfect! Every day, we enjoyed delicious food, and dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free) were accommodated without any issues. Our guide and the chef were not only professional but also incredibly friendly and always there for us. The safaris themselves were outstanding – we saw amazing wildlife and received fascinating information along the way. A special highlight was the food: while other safaris only provided lunch boxes, we always had a freshly prepared, warm meal. The tents were spacious and equipped with mosquito protection, and the camps were all beautiful – we felt comfortable at all times. Taswira offers an absolutely recommendable safari experience that we would book again in a heartbeat! Big thanks to Rocky and Samson!!!!
