Meet your guide in Kigali and drive to Musanze, enjoying views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside. Check in at your lodge and relax, then receive a briefing on gorilla trekking requirements and timing. Dinner and overnight near Volcanoes National Park to ensure an early start the next day. Day 2
Gorilla Trekking (Volcanoes NP)
After early breakfast, attend the park briefing and begin your trek to a gorilla family with rangers and trackers. The trek duration varies, but the reward is an unforgettable encounter once the gorillas are located. Spend the regulated observation time with the group, then return to the lodge for rest, dinner and overnight. Day 3
Volcanoes - Nyungwe Forest (Scenic Transfer)
After breakfast, drive toward Nyungwe Forest in southern Rwanda, passing scenic landscapes and tea plantations. Arrive in the afternoon, check in and enjoy a relaxed evening in a rainforest setting. Dinner and overnight, preparing for early chimpanzee tracking and forest activities. Chimpanzee tracking + Canopy walk (Nyungwe)
Start early for chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest with rangers, following primate calls and movement through the forest. After the trek, enjoy time to rest and later take the famous canopy walk for elevated views over the rainforest (conditions permitting). Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
