Day 1
After the meet and greet, you will start for Nyungwe Forest National Park. Along the way, you'll make stops at places of interest including local markets, and the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza. You'll drive past green fields of tea scattered across the hillsides and the small wooden houses unique to the areas surrounding Nyungwe Forest. Lunch will be en route. You'll arrive in the afternoon, check-in and relax at the lodge. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range hotel located just outside Nyungwe NP (Chimps) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
You'll have a guided nature walk in the forest to see a variety of animals and some of the three hundred bird species found here, which include the Rwenzori turaco and black and white casqued hornbill. You will go on an escorted walk in search of large groups of Colobus monkeys —sometimes as many as 400 in a group. Or, you can go chimp tracking. You'll have a picnic lunch and return in the late afternoon. The main focus for today is chimpanzee tracking. A canopy walk can be done in the afternoon, after lunch. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge. Mid-range hotel located just outside Nyungwe NP (Chimps) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
You will have breakfast at leisure and set off for Volcanoes National Park. You can make a stopover like at Lake Kivu, have lunch, and enjoy a boat ride. Later, you'll proceed to Volcanoes National Park. You will relax for the rest of the evening. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
You will transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters to track gorillas in Parc National des Volcans. Golden monkey tracking through the forest, hills, and swamps can be tough, arduous, and tiring, sometimes taking up to 2 hours in the forest. Coming face to face with these monkeys is well worth the effort. You'll return for lunch. Later in the evening, you'll enjoy Iby'Iwachu Cultural entertainment. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
You'll have breakfast and go to the park offices for a briefing. Afterward, you'll set off in the forest for gorilla trekking. A thrilling trek through the refined foothills of the Virungas provides inspiring views in all directions. Then, suddenly, the trail enters the park, engrossing trekkers in the strange closeness of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey, and besieged with fresh spoor of the mountains’ elusive populations of buffalos and elephants. Through gaps in the forest canopy, the marvelous peaks are sighted, easily easy to get to, and among the uppermost in Africa, indicating an ascent. Gorilla trekking is quite a strenuous but worthwhile encounter of these gentle giants. The enthusiasm of your coming across these apes will wipe away your intricacy of the strenuous trek. You'll spend 1 hour watching gorillas. You will have a packed lunch or hot lunch at the lodge depending on the time you finish tracking. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
You will leave for Kigali. If time permits, you will go for a tour of the city including shopping. You will transfer to the airport for your flight. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

Gama Travel and Tour Agency hosted my stay in Kigali during an academic collaboration, ensuring all my travel needs, city touring and even preparation for participation in the Kicukiro commemoration event on April 14th, during which they provided personalized accompaniment. As a social science professor and researcher, I cannot thank Gama Travel Tour and Agency enough for enabling both my professional and personal enrichment. This is in addition to the safety and enjoyment their services provide. Thanks to Gama, all phases of my stay and work went smoothly.

I traveled to Rwanda in April as part of a school project, and I was warmly welcomed right from the moment I arrived at the airport by the Gama Travel team. We truly loved our experience and completely fell in love with Rwanda. The people are kind and welcoming, and the country is a beautiful place to discover. During one of our days off, we had the opportunity to take a guided tour in Akagera National Park with our guide Samuel Bikorimana. He is an outstanding guide who ensured our safety and comfort throughout the entire day. The Gama Travel team arranged transportation from our hotel, which made everything smooth and easy. Once there, Samuel demonstrated great professionalism and genuine kindness. We felt very comfortable from the start and had an amazing safari experience with him. We were able to see giraffes, zebras, elephants, and more. He really made an effort to help us see as much as possible and shared a lot of knowledge about the park and its wildlife, which made the experience even more meaningful. Samuel’s passion, professionalism, and dedication made this safari truly unforgettable. A big thank you to the entire Gama Travel team for their excellent service and kindness. Our trip to Rwanda will stay with us forever.
