Day 1
You will be warmly welcomed by a dedicated driver-guide who will provide a quick briefing. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to obtain some essentials for your safari, such as camera batteries, insect repellent, travel documents, and you may want to exchange your currency for Ugandan shillings. Then, you will begin your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah national park in Uganda. It is located in the west and is closest to the capital city compared to other national parks. The park is dotted with various lakes, the largest of which is Lake Mburo, from which the park gets its name. The lakes offer an excellent boat cruise experience where you can see crocodiles, hippos and other animals roaming along the shores of Lake Mburo. Upon arrival, you will check in at a lodge for your overnight accommodation. Day 2
Start your day with an early game drive through the park. A park ranger will guide you to the best spots for viewing savannah animals such as impalas, bushbucks, elands, hyenas, buffalo, leopards, jackals, and zebras, as well as various birds like ibises. The game drive lasts about 2-3 hours, after which you will return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time. Later, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along Lake Mburo, where you can spot different animals, including crocodiles and hippos. This cruise takes approximately 2 hours. After the boat ride, you will head back to the lodge for dinner. Luxury lodge located just outside Lake Mburo NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
Start your day with an early breakfast before checking out of the lodge. You will then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, stopping at Lake Bunyonyi along the way. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa, following Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. Here, you will enjoy a boat cruise, which is the main highlight of this stop. During the cruise, you will visit several historical islands, including Leprosy Island (also known as Sharp Island), which was historically used to quarantine locals suffering from leprosy, and Punishment Island, a small island where girls who became pregnant before marriage were sent as a form of punishment. After your boat cruise, you will have lunch at one of the resorts on Lake Bunyonyi before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is renowned for having the highest population of mountain gorillas in the world, giving you a 99% chance of seeing these magnificent creatures during your safari. Day 4
Start your day with breakfast, then prepare for your drive to the park offices where the trekking adventure begins. First, you will attend a briefing mandated by national park regulations to ensure that all visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. The rules and guidelines for being in the forest will be explained, after which you will embark on your search through the woods, encountering eye-catching attractions such as vervet monkeys, colobus monkeys, and various bird species including barbets. Once you spot a gorilla family, the clock will start ticking for one hour of unforgettable memories in their natural habitat. Savor this extraordinary moment and take the opportunity to capture photos. After approximately 3 to 5 hours of trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch. Visiting the nearby Batwa villages for a community experience will also be an option. It is home to a variety of unique wildlife species that can be seen throughout its premises, as well as around the crater lakes and the impressive Kazinga Channel. As you head to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, keep an eye out for the rare tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. After lunch, enjoy a cruise along the scenic Kazinga Channel, where you can spot various aquatic animals and bird species, such as crocodiles and hippos. This cruise typically lasts about 2 to 3 hours. Return to the lodge for dinner and prepare for your departure the following morning. During this drive, you will see the park's early risers such as jackals, spotted hyenas, lions and leopards. You may also spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs and zebras. After 2 hours exploring the wilderness, you will return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Next, you will transfer to Kibale National Park, known as the world capital of primates, where you can find 13 recognized species, including chimpanzees, our closest cousins. Located in western Uganda, the journey will be delightful as you pass by beautiful crater lakes, tea plantations and expansive banana farms. We will stop at the Isunga community near Kibale National Park, where you will experience the African way of life through traditional dances and music performed by the Batooro and Bakiga people in the area. I booked a 3 day, 2 night gorilla trekking tour and it was an incredible experience! Michael was great at getting back to me with all the information; driver was knowledgeable & pleasant. Gorilla trekking experience was bucket list status! The island on a lake I stayed at after trekking was peaceful with nature walks around the island. I'd highly recommend.

I had a truly wonderful 21 day safari with Bugoli Adventures. It was a last minute decision to visit Uganda and Rwanda. Without much preparation time, the booking process was still very personal. Michael has put together the perfect itinerary taking into account my preferences: a mix of different wildlife and cultural experiences as well as some hiking activities. My safari then started at the airport in Entebbe, where I was picked up by Michael and my guide Silver. Silver was absolutely great: As a very experienced driver, he knew all the best routes and made my trip safe and comfortable. In addition, he has eagle eyes and could spot wildlife from a great distance. So I saw all the Big Five and collected a lot of amazing photos. My personal wildlife highlight of the trip was definitely visiting the gorillas in Bwindi. As a solo traveler, I opted for budget accommodations to cut down on my expenses. However, the accommodations selected by Michael really exceeded my expectations: the rooms were spacious and clean, mostly with a great view. Ideal for relaxing after a long day of driving. The 3 course meals at their restaurants were delicious. The meals were carefully selected in personal consultation with their chef. In closing, I would like to highly recommend Bugoli Adventures to help you create an unforgettable safari experience.

We had an unforgettable experience with Bugoli Adventures and would not hesitate to book with them again. The booking process was very personal, we spoke a lot with Michael and Reward beforehand to create the perfect itinerary for us, so from the beginning we could feel the passion within this company. We had previously organised our first 2 nights in Uganda separately, but Michael and Reward still met us in Kabale and drove us there, helping us to organise simcards and cash on the way. Our safari then started when we met our guide Silver, a man with a heart of gold. His knowledge is unbelievable and he looked after us so well, making sure everything was perfect during our time with him. We opted for a budget safari, but some of the accommodations really exceeded our expectations, especially in the national parks. We were in contact with Michael and Reward the whole way, sharing our experiences and we feel like we have gained not only great memories from our trip, but great friends too. I would 100% recommend Bugoli Adventures to anyone looking for an unforgettable Ugandan Safari, you will love it!
