Day 1
Your driver-guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffaloes, and elephants. At Murchison Falls, you'll witness the breathtaking power of the world’s most powerful waterfall. The park is also a birdwatcher's haven, home to 450 species, including the rare shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and goliath heron, among others. On the way, you'll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big Five encounter, where you’ll enjoy an hour of rhino tracking. Afterward, you'll have lunch at Kabalega Dinner before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, you'll check into your accommodation to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead the following day. Day 2
You'll start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the northern section of Murchison, renowned for its high concentration of wildlife. You'll enjoy a game drive, capturing photos of elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Afterward, you'll return to your accommodation for lunch, then prepare for a 3-hour boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise is often considered the highlight of the safari, offering an up-close experience with wildlife in the water. As you sail, you'll pass by large pods of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of aquatic birds on the northern bank, all while heading towards the mighty falls. For those seeking an additional adventure, an optional hike to the top of the falls awaits. While challenging, the view from the top is an unforgettable reward. Afterward, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Mid-range lodge located inside Murchison Falls NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
After breakfast at your accommodation, you’ll drive to the top of Murchison Falls (if you didn’t hike the day before) for a breathtaking view of the falls. Alternatively, you can head straight to Kibale Forest National Park after breakfast. Kibale is renowned for its diverse primates, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. During your chimpanzee trek, you'll likely spot these species swinging through the trees or feeding on wild fruits. Upon arrival at your accommodation, you can check in and unwind. You'll enjoy a delicious dinner and relax for the night. Mid-range lodge bordering Kibale NP (Chimps) without fences All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
You will head to the forest head office for a briefing. Thereafter, you'll start your trek with a ranger as early as 8:00 am. Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them. You will return to the lodge for lunch after which you will head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in the evening and stay overnight at your booked accommodation. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
Today, you'll enjoy both a game drive and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You'll begin with an early morning game drive through the park, where you'll be treated to stunning views of the plains, valleys, terraced hills, and a rich variety of wildlife. Expect to see reedbucks, bushbucks, kobs, warthogs, elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more. Afterward, you'll take a break and enjoy lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel is home to large pods of hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as a wide range of bird species, including pelicans, kingfishers, saddle-billed storks, and occasionally crowned cranes. You'll return to your accommodation in time for dinner. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
After breakfast, you'll depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. While spotting these lions is about 70% likely, they can sometimes be elusive. You'll continue your journey to Bwindi, home to nearly 1,000 mountain gorillas—about half of the world's total population. The park is made up of several habituated gorilla groups that can be tracked. Its mist-covered hills are part of one of Uganda’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and housing nearly 400 plant species. Given the challenging day ahead, you’ll check into your accommodation on arrival and take it easy, preparing for the exciting gorilla trekking adventure the next day. Mid-range lodge located just outside Bwindi Impenetrable NP (Gorillas) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
After an early breakfast and a briefing from your ranger guide, you will venture into the dense and stunning Bwindi Forest. The rainforest's beauty is truly breathtaking, with its dramatic, steep, and thick landscape crisscrossed by animal trails that allow for visitor access. The time spent and the terrain encountered will vary depending on the gorillas' movements. Once you find a gorilla group, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to spend an hour observing these gentle and endangered creatures—a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Afterward, you'll return to your lodge for lunch, then check out and begin your transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills that rise between 2,200 and 2,478 meters, but what truly sets Lake Bunyonyi apart are its 29 islands of various shapes and sizes, making it a truly magical place to behold. It’s also the third deepest lake in Africa, reaching depths of 900 meters. Mid-range resort located at Lake Bunyonyi All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 8
You'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, taking in the stunning views of the small islands of Lake Bunyonyi just in front of you. Afterward, you'll begin your return journey to Entebbe Airport, with planned stopovers for lunch and a visit to the Uganda equator line along the way. You'll continue your drive, arriving in the late afternoon or evening for drop-off at the airport. This marks the conclusion of your incredible tour in Uganda. 5.0/5Just finished an amazing adventure with Wagatil Safaris and would highly recommend. I did a private solo trip with them for 8 days in Uganda and everything went so well. The experience with them was great from start to end. Smooth and nice communication with Pretty and Martin, who were helping me personalize my itinerary and planning, they were so nice and quick to answer any questions and very flexible to make any changes I requested and help to make the perfect trip for me. Everything was arranged and sorted so all I had to do was enjoy and take in all the incredible experiences, which made me feel very comfortable and in good safe hands. Can't praise my guide Eddie enough - he was so friendly, fun and knowledgeable and we were so lucky to see absolutely everything on the trip - from a leopard with her two cubs, tree climbing lion right next to us, gorillas with babies climbing around us - everything I ever dreamed of was ticked off the list! I did an 8 day trip which meant we were on the road most days and experiencing something new everyday, which was perfect for me as I was traveling alone and it felt like something was always happening and new things were waiting for us at every stop, but Uganda has so much to offer and experience so you won't be bored by adding even more days and activities. Thank you to Wagatil, Pretty, Martin and especially Eddie for making this trip an amazing and unforgettable adventure!

I contacted Wagatil Safaris on very short notice, only three weeks before my departure. Pretty responded immediately and prepared an itinerary for me. The communication via WhatsApp was very friendly and professional. Pretty kept updating me whenever she found alternative, better hotels or optimized the route. Whenever I had questions, I always received a very quick reply. I booked a 5-day tour through Rwanda and Uganda including hiking, Golden Monkey trekking, Gorilla trekking, and chimpanzee trekking. At my request, I spent the first day on my own in Kigali and was picked up the following morning by my driver Andrew. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe with him. Andrew has a very pleasant driving style, is very friendly, and explains a lot about the country and its people. I also found it really sweet that after a few days I learned that Pretty checked in with Andrew every day to make sure I was truly happy with everything. The individual excursions were perfectly organized. It was breathtaking to see the animals in the wild. The nature is incredibly beautiful and the experiences are truly unique. It was also very nice to meet Pretty in person during a dinner. I can recommend Wagatil Safaris 100% and would definitely book with them again. It was absolutely worth every penny.

From start to finish Wagatil provided our group with amazing service. Before the trip Pretty was super responsive and flexed the itinerary to suit our requests. She was also quick to support any issues during the trip. Our 12 day trip was well planned and covered many of the most beautiful sites in Uganda. We chose to add some extra days after the trip around Lake Bunyonyi, which provided us with a much needed rest before heading home. Our guide and driver was Bosco. What a legend this guy was. He had a aura of calm and control, using his extensive experience to make our trip feel seamless. Each amazing encounter we had felt like a little bit of luck combined with the mastery of Bosco's timing, eye, driving and 'string pulling' :). We always felt well taken care of and really appreciated how genuinely Bosco wanted to give us an amazing experience. He even took us to a local hot springs after our hike in the Rwenzori range, which was both relaxing and an awesome opportunity to get off the tourist track and hang out with Ugandans. Bosco was the perfect professional and a great ambassador for Uganda. The car was in great condition. The pop-out roof meant we had amazing 360 views. We had lots of room inside as well as a fridge to keep fruit and drinks cool. We will definitely be recommending Wagatil to friends and family.
