Day 1
Arrival and Sightseeing Addis Ababa
You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. You will refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. You will descend and drive to the National Museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominid, the ‘Lucy’ fossil. You will visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during WWII. Fly Addis to Lalibela
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lalibela. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. ‘Eighth Wonder of World Heritage’ Lalibela is famous for its underground rock-hewn cathedrals. You'll visit the top attractions of Lalibela that will simply stagger you. These churches include Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Mariam, Bete Meskal, Bete Denaghel, Bete Golgotha, Bete Mikael, and Bete Giorgis. You will enjoy the sunset from your hotel. Day 3
Lalibela
After having your breakfast, you will visit the remaining churches of Lalibela which include Bete Gabriel, Bete Marqorios, Bete Emmanuel, and Bete Aba Libanos. In the afternoon, you will be escorted to one of the local villages in Lalibela to get a chance to see their daily life. Traditional Ethiopian coffee will be served. Day 4
Drive from Lalibela to Bahir Dar
On this day, you will drive to Bahir Dar visiting en route to the Awra Amba village. A unique settlement that is considered to be a prime model for self-help and above all gender equality. Women have equal rights as men and there is no distinction in the division of labor. Men cook, women plow, and religion have no place. They believe in hard work and being good to people. They keep their house and their surroundings unbelievably clean. Theft is seen as very obscene. The main means of livelihood for the community is weaving. There’s a home for the elderly with 24-hour care and a committee that helps out new mothers, who also get three months of maternity leave. Day 5
Sightseeing Bahir Dar
In the morning, you will take a boat cruise on Lake Tana to visit the 14th-century Monastery of Ura Kidane Mihret which is the most famous of the Zege peninsula monasteries. In the afternoon, you will drive to the village of Tis Isat to see the Blue Nile Falls. (Note that the volume of the water could be minimal because of the construction of the new dam.) Day 6
Drive Bahir Dar to Gondar
After having your breakfast, you will begin your journey to Gondar. The Royal Capital of Ethiopia, Gondar was founded in 1636 by Emperor Fassiladas. In the afternoon, you will visit the city of Gondar with the drive to the Castles and Churches built by Emperor Fassiladas and his descendants. You will proceed to the fascinating Debre Birhan Selassie (The Enlightening of Trinity) with wonderful mural art. You will visit and drive back to your hotel for the overnight stay. Day 7
Drive Gondar to Simien Mountains National Park
On this day, you will drive to the Simien Mountains. This is a sight, which is termed the most wild and spectacular of all Ethiopian landscapes- 'the roof of Africa.' You'll observe the magnificent scenery. You will check in to your hotel. Later, you will walk around in the park. You'll enjoy the landscape from your hotel. Day 8
Drive Simien to Gondar and Fly to Addis
After an early breakfast, you will drive back to Gondar to catch your flight back to Addis. Upon your arrival in Addis, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the day use. In the evening, you will attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure. All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
