Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru and check in at Sarova Woodlands, an exclusive hotel. After lunch, relax before proceeding for an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park, home to white rhinos and hundreds of bird species, including the famous flamingos. Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
After breakfast, continue your journey to the Masai Mara, arriving at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for lunch. Rest before embarking on an afternoon game drive at 3:00 PM. Masai Mara Game Reserve is home to the "BIG Five" I.e. Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and leopard and you have great chances of spotting them while here. Game Viewing in Masai Mara
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Depending on the season (June - September), we will visit the Mara River for the breathtaking wildebeest migration spectacle. On this day, an optional early morning hot air balloon safari over the savannah is available, complete with a bush breakfast and champagne upon landing (Balloon ride rate: USD 450 per person). Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast at the lodge, you have the option to visit a Maasai village before proceeding to Hell’s Gate National Park. Arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, explore Hell’s Gate, where activities include cycling, game tracking, and visiting the park’s scenic gorges. Hiking and rock climbing are also available for adventure enthusiasts. After breakfast, enjoy an optional (complementary) boat ride on Lake Naivasha, concluding by 10:00 AM. Check out and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your 3:00 PM flight to Mombasa. Upon arrival at 4:00 PM, a swift transfer takes you to Whitesands Beach Resort for a luxurious coastal retreat. Spend two full days unwinding at the beach, soaking in the sun and enjoying the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Engage in optional activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, and deep-sea fishing. Visit the nearby marine parks to explore vibrant coral reefs and marine life. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach or explore the local markets for souvenirs and traditional crafts. In the evenings, experience Mombasa’s vibrant nightlife, with beachside bars, live music, and cultural dance performances. Our trip to Hells Gates coutesy of Kriproto Safaris was marvelous. The tour guide ensured that all the requirements in terms of documents and suppliers were available even before the start of the journey. Not only did he ensure that we got on site early enough but also made sure we got to visit all the scenic places within reach though not part of the itinerary. We had games to play, swim and the meals were served on time. Call Kriproto Safaris for a great experience in East Africa.
