Day 1
Upon your arrival at Nairobi Airport, our friendly safari team will warmly greet you. You will then have a short transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. You'll take some time to relax at the hotel or explore the various attractions the city has to offer. In the evening, you will have the chance to meet the rest of your group over dinner. Mid-range hotel located in Nairobi (City) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
Transfer to Wilson Airport (domestic airport) for your scheduled flight by light aircraft to the Samburu National Reserve. You'll meet your safari guides with an introduction game drive to your camp for lunch. Nestled in the heart of Kenya, this unique destination is home to five rare animals found only north of the equator: the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and Gerenuk. Safari enthusiasts are invited to explore this remarkable wilderness, where undisturbed nature and vibrant local culture blend You'll enjoy an afternoon game drive in a relatively remote area away from the crowds with excellent game viewing. Luxury tented camp bordering Samburu NR without fences All meals included Drinks not included
Day 3
You'll enjoy a full day in the National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive. You'll explore Samburu on the lookout for elephants and big cats, as well as the unusual animals for which Samburu is known. The river provides a life source for many animals, as well as plays host to a large population of Nile crocodiles. Lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, and diverse birdlife (400 plus species) —including the Verreaux’s eagle and vulturine guinea fowl —can all be found here. Luxury tented camp bordering Samburu NR without fences All meals included Drinks not included
Day 4
After breakfast, you'll enjoy a scenic drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with breathtaking views of Mount Kenya. The afternoon starts with a game drive and the opportunity to get a glimpse of the 105 Black rhinos that live in Ol Pejeta, in its natural environment — the highlight of any visit! Africa’s most iconic species hunt, graze, breed, and fight for survival on the plains of Ol Pejeta every day, in an ecosystem that has the highest densities of wildlife in Kenya outside of the Maasai Mara. There are only two remaining northern white rhinos in the world - both female and living in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. During your game drive, you will meet the northern whites and learn more about their history, what it takes to protect them, and what Ol Pejeta is doing to try and save this subspecies. If you are back on time, you'll watch a magnificent African sunset from the camp, which overlooks the water hole. Luxury tented camp located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Laikipia Plateau) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 5
After breakfast, you'll visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary (the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees) at the Ewaso Nyiro River, before driving to Lake Nakuru National Park. Due to the increase in the water levels of the lake in recent years, it has led to a decrease in alkalinity, thus affecting the flamingos (with only a small population of flamingos left at the lake). Lake Nakuru supports pelicans, black and white rhinos, colobus monkeys, as well as numerous antelopes, buffalo, and giraffe. You'll enjoy an afternoon game drive. Mid-range lodge located inside Lake Nakuru NP All meals included Drinks not included
Day 6
You'll leave the lake area behind and drive through the Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park in search of lions and leopards, herds of plains game and elephants, beautiful birds and elegant giraffes. The annual highlight is the Great Wildebeest Migration (between July and October), creating one of the world’s supreme natural spectacles. You'll stay in the Mara Triangle area — one of our preferred areas in the Masai Mara for the following reasons: The lodge overlooks the Mara River and is only a 15-minute drive from the Mara River. The concentration of wildlife in the Mara Triangle is excellent – including the Big Five! The Mara Triangle is where the wildebeest herds enter and exit the Masai Mara from the Serengeti, making it a prime location for witnessing this incredible wildlife spectacle unfold. There are a total of 10 river crossing points in the Mara Triangle. Off-road game drives are allowed in certain areas. Luxury lodge located inside Masai Mara NR All meals included Drinks not included
Day 7
You'll enjoy 2 full days in the Masai Mara with game drives. With luck, you will see some of the "Big Five", and most certainly, you will be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. The Masai Mara has the highest concentration of land mammals compared to all other parks in Kenya! The prime location of the lodge makes it possible for you to explore the banks of the river at daybreak— this is something a lot of the other lodges cannot offer. Owing to the proximity of the river, you are ideally positioned to photograph the massive herds of wildebeest as they gather and ultimately start crossing the Mara River. Luxury lodge located inside Masai Mara NR All meals included Drinks not included
Day 9
After a final game drive, you will bid farewell to the Masai Mara and drive to the airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport. You'll meet and greet at the airport with a transfer to the Karen Blixen Restaurant to enjoy lunch and to visit the Giraffe Centre as well as the Kazuri Beads Factory. You'll transfer to Nairobi Airport for your onward flight home. End of service. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5Visiting the gorillas in Rwanda with Explore Plus was a dream come true. Not in my wildest imagination did I think we would get so close to them. It was just unbelievably fantastic

We did the May 2026 Serengeti Migration tour, the entire experience- from booking to actual tour - was incredible. The hotels were fantastic, the Serengeti was magical, the hot air ballon ride was out of this world, and the guides were knowledgeable. The whole trip was organized perfectly and seamlessly. We loved every minute of every packed day.

We were a group of six travelers that booked a trip to Rwanda during May 2026 through eXplore plus. The main purpose of the trip was to do Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park, but the trip they put together was so much more. The gorillas were undoubtedly the highlight of the trip, but during our week in Rwanda we also got a good overview of the the country as a whole. We visited the Genocide Museum, did the Canopy walkway in Nyungwe National Park, went Chimpanzee hiking, visited the King's Palace with the royal cattle, went on a boat trip on Lake Kivu and so much more. The accommodation exceded our expectations, it was way more luxurious than we ecpected and the food (3 meals a day) was very good as well. I really think they hit the sweet spot as far as experiencing the country, seeing the highlights and doing so in luxury goes. Compared to other quotes we got for our trip they also hit the sweet spot in terms of cost - considering that it was an all inclusive cost. We only had to pay extra for alcoholic drinks (at the final lodge that was included) and tips for the rangers, guides, porters, etc. I can highly recommend eXplore Plus. Their service was outstanding and the proof was in the wonderful experience we had.

An incredible organisation, very processional and pleasant, good value for money and all boxes ticked. Will definitely recommend and will use them again!
