You'll begin your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kigali or Musanze after a hearty breakfast. You'll embark on a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling countryside, arriving at Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Park rangers will brief you on the trek, sharing insights into the golden monkeys’ behaviors and the park’s conservation efforts. Follow your expert guide on a 2-4 hour trek through lush bamboo forests, where the air carries the scent of earth and the sound of rustling leaves. Soon, you’ll spot the golden monkeys, their golden fur flashing as they leap through the trees, nibble on bamboo, and play with a joyful curiosity, perfect for capturing on camera. After this delightful encounter, you'll descend to the base and enjoy a well-earned lunch in the charming town of Musanze. You'll relax in your Land Cruiser for the return journey to Kigali, arriving by late afternoon or evening, depending on your schedule, with memories of Rwanda’s wildlife.
