5.0/5From the first contact onwards, we felt that we were in good hands. Telly was extremely professional and tailored our program exactly as we wanted it to be. All questions were answered thoroughly and within a few hours, adjustments to the program were done with the greatest kindness. We think that telly went more than the extra mile to create a wonderful experience for us. The tour itself was a 6 day Kilimandscharo hike for 2. We had the best guide possible (Babaluu), who motivated us in moments of despair and entertained us on the long hikes. Without him, we wouldn't have made it. Also the team, porters and cooks, made sure the hike was as convenient as possible. It was hard and strenuous, but with the team and organisation, we always felt safe. Telly even asked us during the tour how we were doing and wished us the best of luck for the summit. These little things showed us, that the company really cared for its customers. By the way, the value for money was outstanding. We are looking forward to the safari and the zanzibar trip we booked with Telly.

I found it quite difficult to decide whether to book a safari before we travelled to Zanzibar or while we were there. I honestly didn't know how to tell what was genuine as I was getting so many people contacting me via WhatsApp. Finally we booked one just a couple of days before doing it. I went through safari bookings.com and I received my three quotes very quickly. We chose to go with Telly Safaris as all communication felt professional, genuine and was always prompt and answered all our questions honestly. Telly were not the cheapest company but they were worth every single penny. We were picked up on time, at 4.30am for our 1 day safari. Our drivers were fabulous, nothing was a problem even after setting off and my husband thought he had left his phone in the hotel ....we were driven all the way back for it(it was eventually found in his pocket, he's no good at early mornings). We were escorted in to the check in area of airport and introduced to the staff member dealing with our flight then sat with us while we waited and had a coffee. The tiny 12 seater plane was just out of this world and not what we had expected.....the flight alone was worth what we paid. It was Great. On arrival we instantly met Raphael and his super capable driver. We set of at 8am , had two stops, one for coffee and a bun and a toilet break behind a tree if needed and then again for the most delicious hot food, fresh fruit and ice cold soft drinks and water. Proper toilets are available here. We safaried until about 10 mins until our flight was due and were still seeing animals around the runway. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, wildebeest, vultures eating a buffalo carcass, sea fish eagles and many many other types of birds. Also so many different antelopes etc. Flight back and pick up from airport was equally as well arranged and enjoyed as it was on the way. We feel so lucky to have been able to get to enjoy such a magnificent, magical day which was further enhanced by the 4 other guests in the safari jeep. The jeep sat 6 and had no sides, or back so visibility was fantastic.

The most satisfying aspect was the fast turnaround and the ability to clarify the multiple aspects of the logistics. Secondly our guide/driver was 90% fluent in our native language (French), same for the English (I am bilingual). French was used the most and sometime, english filled the gap. In other words, communication was quick, easy and highly efficient. IMO the value for money is on par and most likely higher than the other safaris. Note that many safaris start by a day at the hotel...therfore a 5 days is in fact a 4 days safari...smart scam IMAO. THe only (slightly negative) aspect was about the driving..just wondering. The car was worn and required some attention. The positive side is that it provided us with the opportunity to be closer and interact with people. Last, we wonder if the driving/route can be optimized. Our GPS app provided the actual path we used, seems it can be improved. All things considered, I would have no hesitation to go on another safari with Telly.
