Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. The evening is free for relaxation and a pre-climb briefing with your mountain guide who will check your equipment and provide last-minute preparations. Day 2
Marangu gate to Mandara hut
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration and begin your climb through the dense rainforest filled with wildlife, such as blue monkeys and colorful birds. Day 3
Mandara hut to Horombo hut
The trail continues through the moorland zone with scattered giant heathers and everlasting flowers. The landscape opens up with breathtaking views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Arrive at Horombo Hut in the afternoon for dinner and rest. Hiking Time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 12 km. Acclimatization at Horombo hut
This day is dedicated to acclimatization, which is crucial for your success on the mountain. You’ll take a short hike to Zebra Rocks (around 4,000m) or Mawenzi Ridge for stunning panoramic views, before returning to Horombo for lunch, relaxation, and preparation for the next stage. Day 5
Horombo hut to Kibo hut
After breakfast, hike across the alpine desert between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. The terrain is open and dry with spectacular mountain scenery. Arrive at Kibo Hut by afternoon, have an early dinner, and rest as you prepare for the midnight summit attempt. Hiking Time: 5–6 hours | Distance: 10 km | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Day 6
Kibo hut to Uhuru peak to Marangu gate
At midnight, begin your final ascent to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point. The climb is challenging but deeply rewarding, with sunrise views from Gilman’s Point (5,681m) and the summit’s glacier fields. Celebrate your achievement at Uhuru Peak (5,895m) before descending back to Horombo Hut for rest, then continue down to Marangu Gate. Receive your climbing certificate and drive back to Arusha for a hot shower and a relaxing evening. Trekking Time: 12–14 hours (total ascent & descent). Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is a haven for wildlife, including black rhinos, hippos, elephants, lions, and abundant birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater and driving back to Arusha or transferring to the airport for your flight home.
