Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 1

Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

You will depart for a magical drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s famous game reserve. You'll stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from outer space. You'll arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk. The reserve is also known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Later, we will drop you off at the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Explore The Great Mara

Day 2

Explore The Great Mara

You'll rise early in the morning when the animals are most active for a morning game drive with your guide. This bush experience will surely create lifetime memories. One of the most sought-after safari experiences is coming across the big cats during a game drive. If you are fortunate enough, you'll catch lions during one of their rare bouts of daytime activities. It can be fascinating to watch the social interaction between pride members especially the playful ways of lion cubs under the watchful eyes of their mothers. You'll return to the camp for breakfast. Your guide will then take you to the nearby Masai village where you will get a chance to see the Masai way of life. You'll return to the camp for lunch before setting out for an evening game drive where you will be driven over rolling grassland dotted with a mixture of acacia trees and the plain game which includes large herds of elephants, zebras, and gazelles. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Masai Mara NR All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

You'll arrive at the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (greater and lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhinos and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. Your safari now takes you to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake that is a popular tourist spot in Kenya. You'll arrive in time for lunch. You'll spend the rest of the day at leisure. You will also take a one-hour lake boat safari during which you get to see some of the lake's wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake and its surrounds are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya's prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow-barked acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with birdlife. Excellent experience

Fast response and seamless organization from the team. Nick was the best guide we could have asked for—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife. He made sure we visited all the key places and saw everything we hoped for (and more!). Highly recommended!

I strongly recommend the Jorado Safari. Teresa the person who organized our itinerary was very polite, quick response. Our guide Felix was the best and made our trip to Kenya. I did a lot of search before booking the Safari and Jorado had the best price. My boyfriend and I did Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East. We enjoyed each minute of our experiencia. Every moment of this trip felt magical..

Our 7-day Kenyan Midrange Safari with Jorado Safaris was an incredible journey! Raggen was extremely attentive during the planning process, ensuring every detail matched our preferences. John, our guide, was fantastic—his knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes was unmatched. We explored iconic parks like Amboseli and Maasai Mara, encountering majestic elephants, cheetahs, and even a rare leopard. The midrange accommodations were comfortable and well-situated, offering breathtaking views and delicious meals. Every moment of this trip felt magical, and we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience.
