The name of the game on our popular 11-day safari is diversity! First up is Etosha National Park, seemingly dry and dusty but bursting with life in all shapes and sizes. Next up is the Caprivi Strip, a wetland and river wonderland, where we will explore the lesser known Bwabwata National Park. Our second last stop is magical Chobe National Park in Botswana, famous for its huge African elephant population. Day 1
After breakfast at your hotel in Windhoek, your guide will load your luggage into the vehicle, and we will set off northwards towards our exciting first destination of this safari; Etosha National Park! The drive to Etosha will take about 4 to 5 hours, but it is a fantastic way to get to know the “lie of the land” here in Namibia. We will pass through Okahandja before passing close to both Okonjima Nature Reserve and the Waterberg Plateau National Park. The next town we go through will be Otjiwarongo and when we reach Outjo we know that we only have a short drive to reach our lodge. We will make a few stops along the way to stretch our legs and have a bite to eat. We will reach our lodge just outside the Andersson gate in the afternoon, and if there is time, we will go for a short game drive inside the park. We will settle in at our comfortable lodge, have dinner and enjoy our first taste of Namibian cuisine, and then have a good night’s rest; there is much excitement to come! Day 2
We will explore the southwestern side of the world-famous Etosha National Park today, going for a morning game drive after breakfast and returning to our lodge for lunch and a break in the heat of the day. In the drier months of the year, almost all the animals tend to congregate around the waterholes dotted around the massive park. They come to drink water and are inevitably followed by predators; this allows us to sit and wait at some of the waterholes and wait for the action to come to us. This is what sets Etosha apart from other parks in Southern or East Africa; unique indeed! We will return to the lodge after our afternoon game drive to enjoy dinner. Remember to look up before settling into your bed tonight—the African night sky, undisturbed by city lights out here in the bush, is truly amazing. Day 3
We will have another full day to enjoy Etosha today, but we will also slowly make our way to the eastern side of the park, where we will overnight today. We will stop at Halali Camp in the middle of the park for lunch. Your guide will decide, with your input as to your fauna and flora sighting preferences and what the best routes will be to follow. All our guides know Etosha intimately and will make sure you see all that this great African wildlife park has to offer. Tonight, we will be at another comfortable lodge just outside the park’s Von Lindequist gate in the east. Here we will sit around a fire and after dinner, chat about the day’s sightings and enjoy another spectacular African night sky. Day 4
We will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Etosha’s game-rich eastern section today, returning to our lodge in the heat of the day for lunch and to relax. One of the great features of the camps inside Etosha is the floodlit waterholes at the perimeter fence, where guests can sit and enjoy the game coming to drink only a few metres away; a special treat to remember forever! After another fantastic day in the park, we will return to our lodge and freshen up. We will then enjoy dinner and a good night’s rest. Tomorrow we are off to the Caprivi! Day 5
We will leave Etosha relatively early this morning after breakfast, making our way northeast. We are heading for the Caprivi, one of Namibia’s (and Southern Africa’s) hidden secrets. The Caprivi with its lush green woodlands and big wide rivers is completely different from what we have experienced in Etosha, and a wonderful adventure awaits! It is a long drive for us today to get to the western side of the Caprivi, but it will be worth it. Our lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Okavango River, with stunning views. Depending on our arrival time, we can either relax at the lodge or do a late afternoon game drive in nearby Bwabwata National Park or even go for a sundowner boat cruise on the river. We will enjoy dinner and a good night’s rest while listening to the sound of hippos in the Okavango. Day 6
After breakfast this morning we will do a mixture of game drives in Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks. We will enjoy lunch at the lodge and either enjoy some downtime or head back into the park. Late in the afternoon, we will join the lodge for a dinner cruise on the Okavango River. We will depart at 5:30 pm and after cruising for a short while, we will stop on an island and enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks around a bonfire. Our view of the Bwabwata National Park on the opposite bank of the river will be the perfect vantage point from where we can watch wildlife drinking while we enjoy the beautiful sunset with a drink in hand. After enjoying our drink, we will board our boat again and slowly cruise back to the lodge while we enjoy our dinner on the Okavango River. A truly magical experience! Day 7
We will start the morning with a breakfast cruise after which we'll proceed further east along the Caprivi Strip. After a drive of about 3 hours, we will reach our next lodge and have lunch. It is situated on the banks of the beautiful Kwando River. In the afternoon, we will have the option to explore this section of the Bwabwata National Park in our own vehicle, or maybe even venture into Mudumu National Park, with a mixture of game drives and boat cruises. We will see elephants and plenty of them! We will return to the beautiful lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest. Tomorrow we cross the border into Botswana! Day 8
After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to Kasane, driving through Katima Mulilo. You will cross into Botswana at the Ngoma gate, which must surely be one of the most scenic border posts anywhere. It overlooks the breathtakingly beautiful Chobe River floodplain. The last 60km of your journey will be in Chobe National Park. After settling in at your lodge in Kasane, you will enjoy a sundowner drink while revelling in the great view over the Chobe River. Dinner will be enjoyed at the lodge where you will be briefed about your upcoming adventure tomorrow. Mid-range lodge in Kasane (Town, Botswana) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 9
This whole day will be dedicated to exploring Chobe National Park. You will do a game drive and a boat cruise, the time of the year will determine which one you do first. Chobe has the highest concentration of elephants in the world as well as one of the highest wildlife concentrations on earth. Besides all the elephants, you will also try and find buffalo, Sable, wild dog, puku (southernmost limit of its range), lechwe, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, bushbuck, waterbuck, giraffe and huge zebra herds. Elephants crossing, playing or swimming in the Chobe River is a sight you will never forget. After your last activity, you return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner and reminisce about the wonderful day on safari. Day 10
After breakfast and the final activity, you will cross into Zimbabwe, the third and final country on our fantastic safari. It is a short drive of about 80km from Kasane to Victoria Falls, and remember to keep an eye out for wildlife as this road is famous for some incredible roadside sightings. After arriving in the town of Victoria Falls, you'll have the option of going straight to the falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke that Thunders” (the falls visit is an optional extra). After settling into your lodge or hotel in the town itself, you will have the afternoon open for relaxing, shopping at one of the curio markets, or any of the additional (optional) activities on offer in Victoria Falls. Contact us for a full list of activities on offer. Dinner tonight is on your own account, but we can gladly assist in suggesting one of the many excellent hotel restaurants in town. Day 11
After a relaxing final breakfast, you will be transferred to the nearby Victoria Falls International Airport for your homeward flight or for your connecting flight to another southern African safari destination (please arrange your transfer directly with your lodge or hotel—this is on your own account). We can easily extend this safari to include some of the fantastic parks in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana or South Africa. Please enquire and we will gladly assist. 5.0/5Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from the beginning, communications were excellent regarding itinerary planning and realised very quickly we were in the hands of true travel professionals. The consultant prepared a fantastic itinerary at short notice to suit our budget and we had a brilliant and very memorable birding trip around Namibia for 16 days. We travelled with a clued up bird guide who drove us very safely the whole 4,475km journey. The guide was extremely hard working, diligent and patient with us with a good sense of humour. All the lodges and camps selected ranged from nice to beyond beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nature Travel Namibia and we will be back to do it again one day.

We organized the tour of Namibia, the safari, next stops at Victoria Falls and Chobe through e-mail exchanges. Mrs Petra was attentive to our requests and able to adapt her proposal to our preferences. She understood what we wanted and helped us to turn a dream into reality. It was amazing! The guide, Marcel, she is an excellent driver. She knows the areas very well and we didn’t miss any opportunity to see animals and experience fun adventure. she is positive, communicative and respectful of customer’s space. The transfers and accommodations were well organized. We can say it was unforgettable holiday because of landscapes, animals, contact with nature, confort and good vibes!

From the moment our adventure began, Nature Travel Namibia delivered an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail—from the seamless logistics to the thoughtfully curated itinerary, which included all our special requests—reflected their commitment to excellence and genuine passion for travel. Communication with Pepi was very smooth throughout. Joram, the BEST GUIDE EVER, was wonderful from the moment he picked us up at the airport and remained exceptional throughout the entire trip. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our family. His local insights added depth to every stop, turning each moment into a story worth remembering. The accommodations, meals, and activities were all top-notch, striking the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The app that allowed us to follow the itinerary—from Windhoek through Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, and finally the breathtaking Etosha—was very handy. We especially loved the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, and each lodge had its own unique personal touch. The state-run ones within Etosha were more crowded, but still enjoyable. Namibia is such a wonderful country—it truly felt like we were part of a David Attenborough documentary. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch, thanks to Joram, who took such amazing care of us that saying goodbye was genuinely emotional. I wholeheartedly recommend this operator to anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience. Thank you for making this trip extraordinary!

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us. Everything was professionally done and the selection of lodges was superb. Nadine managed to get a small celebration form my wife's birthday as well. Our guide, Stewart Matsoto made the experience even better with his good knowledge of the country and the nature. I strongly suggest to organize your next tour or safari with Nature Travel Namibia.
