Tour step

Day 1
Our company representative will pick you up either from the airport or your accommodation facility. After a short briefing about the safari, you will be handed over to your experienced driver guide in the morning for a scenic drive southeast towards Amboseli National Park, arriving in good time for lunch. You'll embark on your first afternoon game drive exploring this acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife returning at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay. Amboseli National Park (392sq km) is famously known for the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp grazing all day. Because of the abundance of water and pasture, other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gnus, gazelles, hippos, and many others. Luxury lodge located inside Amboseli NP (Kenya) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
You'll leave the camp after breakfast, carrying your packed lunch to be enjoyed in the wild. You'll spend the whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli which are fed by subterranean water channels. Water is abundant throughout the year and so is the pasture. Elephants and various other herbivores are found here. You'll return to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long exploration of this 392sq km. When staying at Serena Lodge, the preferred itinerary of the day is to begin with an early morning game drive, allowing you to search for animals when they are most active. After the drive, return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast and lunch. During the hottest part of the day, relax in the camp by reading your favorite book or listening to music while observing the birds. Later, at around 4:00 PM, you will head out for another drive through the park. You will return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay. Luxury lodge located inside Amboseli NP (Kenya) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
Today after breakfast, prepare for a long but very scenic and exciting drive. You will head towards the border separating Kenya and Tanzania(Namanga border post). Prepare to pay for your visa which costs $50- $100 depending on the nationality (visa cards NOT accepted). After clearing the border immigration process, you will transfer vehicles and join your Tanzanian driver/guide who will welcome you and proceed further with your journey stopping for lunch in Arusha. After lunch, you'll take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the day-to-day activities of the locals around this small but busy tourist transit town before proceeding further east arriving in Lake Manyara in good time (mid-afternoon). You have a free afternoon to enjoy the lodge facilities like swimming, and bird watching, or maybe relax by the poolside reading your favorite book or writing your journal in preparation for a busy day tomorrow. Luxury lodge located on the escarpment above Lake Manyara NP (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast today, you'll pack up and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive to observe the active wildlife. Keep an eye out for baboons and dik-diks foraging for food beneath the acacia trees, as well as large herds of buffalos and many more As you explore a narrow belt of acacia woodland, you may even spot the region's famed tree-climbing lions, which ascend the branches to catch a cool breeze. You will enjoy an African buffet prepared fresh from the farm at a local homestead. After lunch, you’ll continue to a local village where you can ride in a tuk-tuk or walk through rice fields, taking in the local community along the way. You will also have the opportunity to sample traditional banana beer during your village stroll. Following your visit, you'll travel to Ngorongoro Crater, ascending its outer wall through dense vegetation. You will arrive at your hotel, located on the rim of the caldera, in good time for dinner and an overnight stay. Luxury tented camp located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
This morning, you'll descend into the crater, arriving ahead of most visitors — thanks to the ideal location of your accommodations on the crater’s rim —you'll descend into the crater floor for the half-day crater tour. There are only two roads that connect the crater rim with the crater floor, One for driving down, One for driving up, and another that goes both ways. The crater is roughly 20 km/12 miles wide and 600 m/2,000 ft deep. Once you’ve reached the top of the caldera, it takes about 45 minutes to descend to the crater floor. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of size live there, Including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see the rhino. The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles and as a result, it's easier to watch them from up close where animals roam the lakes, rivers, and hills. Later, you'll ascend and return to your lodge at the rim for dinner and an overnight stay. Luxury tented camp located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
You'll drive to the vast, wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park and through its spectacular mix of savanna grassland and volcanic hills, stopping en route for a privately guided tour of Olduvai Gorge, one of the key sources of prehuman hominid fossils. Renowned paleontologists Mary and Louis Leakey made many notable finds here, including “Nutcracker Man,” who lived approximately 1.75 million years ago. You'll visit the on-site museum, take in views from the lookout point, and examine the excavations, which revealed 3.7-million-year-old footprints and the 1.8-million-year-old skull of a human. You'll continue to your lodge with a game drive en route in this endless savanna framed by commanding views of this land of lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, and topi. The park also serves as a setting for the Great Migration when it passes through each year. You will arrive at your camp in good time for lunch. After lunch embark on your afternoon game drive and return at sunset. Luxury tented camp located inside Central Serengeti NP (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
You will wake up to another glorious day in the Serengeti. You will start the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're most active. Then, you will return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch. You'll spend the hottest part of the day relaxing at the camp reading your favorite book, writing your journal about the safari, or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Then, you will head off again in the afternoon for another drive through the park. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and another night under Serengeti's stars. Note: There's also an option of an early hot air balloon ride here. Please ask the tour manager before booking this trip if you're interested. The unending landscape hosts some 450 bird species, 95 animal species, and all of the great predators, including the country’s largest lion population. On arrival, you'll meet your driver guide and be transferred to your lodge with a game drive on route arriving in good time for lunch. After having lunch and familiarizing yourself with your classic tented accommodations, ideally situated at the confluence of Mara’s four game-viewing regions, you will embark on your first guided game drive through the famed reserve in search of the many herbivores and carnivores that call this place home. 5.0/5We had an amazing 10 days camping safari through Kenya. The trip was very well organised and Mambo's food was delicious. Eric took us to amazing game driving where we saw a great number of animals and received many interesing explanations about wild life. This was an incredible and unforgetable trip, thanks to the professionnalism and the good vibes of Eric and Mambo !

We returned home amazed after a 10-day camping safari trip with Eric and Mambo across Kenya. Travelling with them was so easy, so meticulously organised and professional that we felt completely at ease throughout the trip, allowing us to fully enjoy the landscapes, culture, game drives and animals. The entire trip was an opportunity for excellent exchanges and discussions with our guides, allowing us to discover the country and the regions we travelled through in greater depth. Thank you again for this amazing trip!

My trip to Kenya was made great because we used Camptrek Safaris for our Safari excusrsion. Three things remained constant on our trip: 1. They were always on time 2. They kept us engaged in all parts of our trip 3. They were always kind We were a group of 12 traveling with our 96 year old patriarch and they made everyone feel special as if the trip was just for them. The team was top notch and I absolutely had no complaints. If you are looking for a team that will put you first and make you feel special Camptrek Safaris is the team.

We (a family of five from Denmark with age of children being 10, 13 and 15 years) had a very good private safari with Camptrek Safaris. We booked a 4 night/5 day safari that took us to Masai Mare, Lake Nakuru, Naiwasha and Hell’s Gate National Park. Lucy was always very fast and helpful when communicating with her during the booking from Denmark, and she was there to send us off in Nairobi and when we came back after the safari. And our driver, Pili Pili, was exellent. Thank you CampTrek Safaris. This is a trustworthy company. Thanks!
