Duration
3-Day
Accra, Kenya
This is the most popular route in Mount Kenya National Park, although not the most scenic, approaching from the west. The Naro Moru route is also the fastest route to the trekking peak at Point Lenana. You will take this classic route up Mount Kenya through the notoriously treacherous vertical bog and into the wide Teleki Valley beneath the Tryndall, The Lewis Glacier. You will be rewarded with a 60 min massage and pedicure at one of the Spa back in Nairobi.

Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
You will be picked up early morning from your hotel in Nairobi at 8:00 am. You'll transfer to Mount Kenya National Park at Naro Moru Gate for registration and where the climb starts, at 2600m. From the gate, you will keep to the park track, which follows the crest of a board ridge between the Northern and Southern Naro Moru valleys. The trek will be easy and pleasant as you walk through the forest. About two-thirds of the way up after the bridge, there are good views to the left north down into the Northern Naro Moru Valley. The trek ends at Met Station 3,000m where you will have your dinner and an overnight rest. Budget banda located on Mt Kenya Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
You will take an early morning breakfast. Afterwards, you'll head uphill on the track to pass the radio must on your right after about half an hour. The trek runs into a path and after another 30 minutes, you will reach the end of the forest belt and enter the moorland. This is because the vertical bog conditions range from damp to glutinous depending on when it last rained. You'll continue through until the going improves and you reach a fork overlooking Teleki Valley to reach Mackinders Camp, 4,200m. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at Mackinders Camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. Budget tented camp located on Mt Kenya All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
The normal approach is to start in the early morning at 3:00 am in order to reach Point Lenana taking about a 4-hour walk by sunrise at 6:30 am. After sunrise, you'll descend down to Mackinders Camp for breakfast for 2 hrs and walk a further 4 hrs, way back to Met Station for lunch. Your vehicle and tour driver will be waiting to pick you up from Met Station for your exit drive back to Nairobi. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

A 6 day hike at Mt Kenya was very well organised, well managed and a wonderful experience. Great team, a really interesting walk (constantly changing environments) and a successful summit at just under 5,000 metres. Thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying experience, thanks to the support from Daniel (our guide) and the team from Keshi.

Keishi tour was by far the cheapest luxury solution to visit Masai Mara I found online, and it was perfect. The driver made a miracle to bring us back to Nairobi in time for our flight, as there were massive traffic on the road. The Sopa Lodge was amaging, clean and safe. Best experience, highly recommended
