Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Musanze
Your journey begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by our Naleyo Tours and Travels representative. After a brief city tour of Kigali, you'll set off on a scenic drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. You will enjoy the picturesque landscapes as you make your way to your place of accomodation. If time allows, you may have the opportunity to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus to learn more about gorilla conservation. Day 2
Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey tracking. Embark on an unforgettable trek through the bamboo forest in search of these lively and rare primates. Once you encounter the golden monkeys, you will have the opportunity to spend an hour observing their behavior and interactions in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch before crossing the border into Uganda, and you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Day 3
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will be briefed by our tour guide before setting off into the dense forest in search of a gorilla family you have been assigned to. During this time you will spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures up close. After the trek, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of Uganda's deepest lake. Transfer to Kigali and Departure
After an early morning breakfast by the lake view, you will start your drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you will have opportunities to capture the scenic beauty of the rolling hills of Kigezi and the thick landscapes as you cross back into Rwanda. As you approach Kigali, you might want to stop for some last-minute shopping at the craft village in Remera before heading to the airport for your scheduled departure.
