Day 1
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari driver-guide. After a short briefing about your upcoming adventure, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Take time to relax and enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere, prepare for your journey, and savor a delicious dinner at the hotel. This first night gives you the perfect introduction to Rwanda and sets the tone for your wildlife adventure. Day 2
Start the day with a guided Kigali city tour, exploring key landmarks and visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand the country’s history. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic three-hour drive north to Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, admire rolling green hills, terraced fields, and local villages. Check into your lodge in the park’s foothills, enjoy a relaxing dinner, and prepare for the next day’s incredible gorilla trekking adventure. Day 3
After an early breakfast, meet your guide at the park office for a briefing before trekking into the misty forests of Volcanoes National Park. Follow winding trails through bamboo and tropical forest to find a habituated gorilla family. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, taking photos and marveling at their behaviors. After the trek, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about gorilla conservation. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 4
Begin your morning with a trek through the bamboo forests to encounter playful golden monkeys. Spend one hour watching their lively movements and interactions, a truly magical experience. After the trek, begin the scenic drive back to Kigali, passing picturesque landscapes and local communities. Arrive at Kigali International Airport for your departure, carrying unforgettable memories of Rwanda’s extraordinary wildlife and cultural heritage.
