After lunch (own cost) and a brief rest, the wild calls. Head out on your first game drive in Kruger National Park, where golden afternoon light enhances the stunning landscape and helps spot wildlife such as elephant herds, grazing antelope, striped zebra, and, if you’re lucky, the stealthy leopard. Breaks at iconic rest camps like Skukuza let you stretch your legs, refresh, and soak up the authentic safari vibe. After hours of thrilling encounters and storytelling, you'll return to the lodge in the late afternoon, just as the sky glows orange. With your guide leading the way, you'll soak in the quiet majesty of the wilderness one last time. Return to Tembo Guest Lodge for a warm breakfast, where the flavors are comforting and the atmosphere reflective. After check-out, begin your journey back to Johannesburg through scenic Mpumalanga. Rolling hills and tranquil villages accompany you as you wind through the landscape, arriving in the city mid-afternoon.
