You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be met by a Dav Safaris staff member that will brief you on the trip. You will then transfer to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and your overnight stay as you relax from the jet lag and wait for the next day’s countryside adventure. Mid-range hotel located in Entebbe (City) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
You will be met by our driver-guide at your point of pick up on the safari. Drive westwards toward Fort Portal to the Kibale Forest National Park (about 5 hours). Traveling on both asphalt and unpaved roads, you pass through traditional Ugandan villages where you see people at work tending their traditional crops of millet, sorghum, beans and maize. The lush, rolling hills of this region provide good photo opportunities. You arrive at Fort Portal for lunch, then continue toward Kibale Forest, one of the great African rainforest research reserves. This forest is famed for the variety of primates found here and it is a terrific area for birds. You make take a walk around the lodge or just relax from the long journey. Mid-range lodge located just outside Kibale NP (Chimps) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing and then go for the most popular activity in this park - chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins, though they are one of the most threatened primate species. More primates like the black and white colobus monkey, L’Hoest's monkey, grey-cheecked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, bushbaby, and potto. Many bird species like the yellow-spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, little greenbul, green-breasted pitta, crowned eagle, black bee-eater and mammals like elephants can be seen on this walk. Have lunch and relax at your lodge. Later in the day, you will transfer to the Bigodi Wetlands, situated on the eastern edge of the forest. There, you will take a light walk in the wetlands to observe plenty of wildlife including birds and many monkey species. Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will view wild animals en-route as you transfer to the lodge for relaxation. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive - most likely to the Kasenyi plains - which is a famous ground for lions, African elephants, spotted hyenas, and many antelope species including Uganda kobs. Return to the lodge for lunch or have a packed lunch. Late in the afternoon, have a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel. This water body is known for being a catchment for Nile crocodiles, hippos, African elephants, Cape buffalos, and many waterbirds including great white pelicans and great cormorants. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi. This area is known for its tree-climbing lions. In Ishasha, we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis, African elephants and hopefully get to see the tree-climbing lions high in the fig tree branches. Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here, you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to jungle-covered mountains. Mid-range lodge located just outside Rushaga (Bwindi Impenetrable NP) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
For today's tracking, we will have an early breakfast, then assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing about this breathtaking activity, packed lunch included. The time spent on the tracking varies. It depends on where the gorillas spent the night, their feeding range, or encounters with other groups which might be wild, forcing them to move from place to place. Be prepared for a fantastic trek. Once you find them, you spend an hour with them. To see these gentle giants interact is awesome. This marvelous wildlife encounter on the African continent is truly unforgettable. Mid-range lodge located just outside Lake Mburo NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
After having an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. This park is famous for zebras, impalas, giraffes, topis, eland, Cape buffalos and many tropical bird species. Check out of the hotel and stop at the equator line for the experience to stand at latitude 00. Continue to Entebbe International Airport for your air transfer back home in the evening, as you say farewell to the "Pearl of Africa"! Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5I had a great experience with Dav Safaris. They did an excellent job planning my accommodations, made it possible to enjoy a wide range of activities while staying within my budget, and took very good care of me throughout the trip. I also really appreciate Isaac for being such a knowledgeable and supportive guide. Highly recommended!

We have just arrived back from a last minute 10 day tour organised by Dav Safaris in beautiful Uganda. We had a wonderful time and Solomon was an outstanding driver and guide, who gave it his all to make our trip worthwhile. We are so pleased with our experience, the shared laughs during the game drives and dinnertimes and definitely recommend him! Booking a last minute trip to Uganda (we confirmed the tour on the 31st of January to leave on the 10th of February) was a bit stressful because we didn’t have much time to arrange flights, visa and a tour. After having requested quotations from multiple company’s we decided to go with Dav Safaris. Their offer was transparent on drive times, activities and accommodations. Optional upgrades for accommodations along with the additional costs were included. This allowed to research the different accommodations but also to upgrade at specific locations instead of just choosing basic, midrange of luxury for the whole trip. After our research we decided to stick with all the proposed accommodations and didn’t upgrade anywhere, because they all looked wonderful and had excellent reviews. Our own experience only confirmed this. In addition the offer was at a reasonable price and we read many positive reviews about Dav Safaris on different platforms (Facebook groups, Google reviews, Tripadvisor). Although the original offer was a standard itinerary, it was clear we could request adjustments to customize it to fit our wishes. For instance, we added a hike to the crater lakes after our Chimpanzee trekking because we liked to spend a bit more time in nature. Arranging the trip so last minute felt very stressful at times, but once we arrived it was clear everything was taken care of and we could just relax and enjoy. Solomon was an excellent guide who handled everything with great care and communicated very clearly with us. He was calm, held a short briefing every evening during dinner about the next day, what time we would have breakfast, what time we should leave and which activities we would be doing. At one point he expressed concerns about the itinerary for the last day but he helped think ahead about how we could resolve the issue without losing out on any activity or experiences. This really showed his engagement to giving us the best possible trip. Other than that, Solomon even fit in a couple of extra game drives when we were up for it, so we really got the most out of our time and money spent in and on the parks. It was clear he also just really enjoyed doing them, which likewise added to our excitement. Something else we were very impressed with is how he knew all the roads by heart. He didn’t you use any gps at any point, which showed he’s experienced and you could trust him, he knew what he was doing. So overall, we had a great trip to Uganda and excellent first experience in Africa thanks to Dav Safaris! Tips for travellers: definitely bring all your waterproof gear for the trekkings, and, if you have them, bring some binoculars. They can come in handy for game drives!

We had a great experience with Dav Safaris for a 5-day trip of Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking. The itinerary was well arranged (the trekking experience was absolutely amazing), the accommodations were clean and spacious and increasingly better throughout the journey. Our guide and driver Gracious was a gentle and professional young man. We enjoyed the time with him and would recommend Dav to all.

We went on a 5-day chimpanzee and mountain gorilla safari through Rwanda and Uganda with davsafari and couldn't be happier and more satisfied. Communication and organization with Reagan was simply perfect and very straightforward. All aspects of the trip went as planned and were handled smoothly, punctually, and pleasantly. The lodges, including the rooms and food, were also perfect. On our previous trips, we sometimes had problems with the food, but not here. The food was always fresh, clean, and delicious. The lodges were in a great location for trekking. The rooms were also clean and very spacious. Encountering wild chimpanzees and gorillas was truly indescribable, but the absolute highlight of our trip was our guide, Kato Gracious. He was truly the nicest and best guide we could have asked for. We had the best time with him and enjoyed every day! On the sometimes long journeys between the national parks, he always went the extra mile to show us highlights along the way, ensuring we had an unforgettable trip. We cannot express enough how highly we recommend him. We will definitely be back, and there is no doubt that we will book with davsafari again!
