The park’s southern region features the picturesque Silale Swamp, a vital water source that attracts abundant wildlife. Along with the Tarangire River, this swamp sustains the park's fauna, especially during the Dry season, making for spectacular wildlife viewing. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch within the park, with your driver-guide selecting the perfect spot. Afterward, continue your thrilling game drive, taking in the park’s wonders until it’s time to head to your hotel. The Serengeti’s vast landscape, roughly the size of Switzerland, offers diverse safari experiences. Explore the central (Seronera) region with its iconic "endless plains", or visit the northern area for Mara River crossings, the western region for migration herds, or the Ndutu area during the transitional season. You will arrive at Ikoma Wild Camp for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay amidst the Serengeti's stunning scenery. This is the prime time to spot big cats like lions and leopards returning from their nocturnal hunts. You'll also have opportunities to observe other wildlife and bird species in their morning routines. After the drive, return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast, enjoying a variety of fresh and delicious options while taking in stunning views. Following breakfast, relax and recharge at the camp, perhaps taking advantage of amenities like the pool or spa. In the afternoon, set out for another thrilling game drive, exploring different areas of the Serengeti. The crater is renowned for its rich animal population, including lions, hyenas, Cape buffalo, and a variety of bird species. The views from the camp on the crater’s rim are breathtaking, especially in the morning when early mist enhances the landscape’s mystique. The high altitude provides panoramic vistas that make for unforgettable photographs and a serene atmosphere. After arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch within the crater’s unique environment. Following your meal, continue your game drive, exploring the diverse habitats and observing the abundant wildlife. This diverse park features a range of habitats, including groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the Rift Valley wall. One of the park’s most famous attractions is its tree-climbing lions, which can occasionally be spotted lounging in the branches of acacia trees. Known as an ornithologist’s paradise, Lake Manyara boasts over 400 bird species across its savannah and river habitats. Notable waterbirds include pelicans, spoonbills, Egyptian geese, hammerkops, and the stunning migratory flamingoes that arrive in their hundreds of thousands, creating a spectacular natural display over the soda lake.
