Day 1
Today your safari adventure begins! Your transfer leaves at 7:30 am from the airport and brings you to Kruger. We are ready and waiting to start your safari and share our passion. Kruger is a wildlife heaven with more than 140 different mammals, over 500 birds species and more than 120 different reptiles! We will game drive to our first camp, Berg-En-Dal and you can enjoy an own expense lunch at the camp restaurant while we check in and off load the luggage. We will be staying at Berg en Dal for the first 2 nights of the safari. Berg en Dal is in a mountainous area of Kruger National Park and this provides a beautifully scenic backdrop to all photos. It is the perfect area for elephant and leopard and the area boasts the highest concentration of rhinos in the park. This afternoon we will take you out on your first safari drive in search for some amazing animals. We will then return to camp at sunset. Start preparing dinner and enjoy the sounds of the African bush by the warm fire. Mid-range rest camp located inside Southern Kruger NP Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
Today we will meet for some coffee and hot chocolate early in the morning and then go out for a sunrise safari drive, we follow the winding rivers as they head east and we will search the lower branches of giant trees for any resting or feeding leopards. We also hope to see some elephant and white rhino and if we are very lucky we could spot a rare black rhino. We will stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast and return to camp in the late morning. We will have lunch back at camp and allow for sufficient time for your family to enjoy the camp facilities before we go out for a late afternoon drive. The camp facilities include a swimming pool, small souvenir shop, a waterhole and a self-guided walking trail. On the afternoon drive we expect the African wilderness to reveal itself as this part of Kruger is teeming with life! Upon our return to camp we will light the fire and enjoy the surroundings. Dinner tonight will be cooked over the fire while we listen to the sounds of nature. Mid-range rest camp located inside Southern Kruger NP All meals included Drinks not included
Day 3
Your adventure starts with a sunrise safari at Matjulu waterhole, a prime spot for spotting spotted hyenas. Following the Matjulu River, you may encounter African Wild Dogs. After breakfast, leave Berg en Dal for a 3-hour drive to Skukuza, Kruger's largest camp along the Sabie River. At Skukuza, check in, enjoy lunch, and relax using camp facilities like the swimming pool, Park Shop, museum, and Wi-Fi hotspot. A walkway along the Sabie River offers stunning views. Staying in 2-bedroom family units, your family has two nights to explore. In the Skukuza area, the afternoon safari focuses on lion spotting, particularly a pride with 20 members. The day concludes with dinner under the stars in a bush restaurant. This well-rounded itinerary balances wildlife experiences with camp amenities, ensuring a memorable and immersive Kruger National Park experience for your family. Interactive exhibits add a fun dimension to learning. The Elephant Sanctuary: Connect with orphaned elephants raised in sanctuaries, providing unique opportunities for close encounters. Activities like feeding, washing, walking, and riding contribute to ongoing research efforts. Shangaan Cultural Village: Immerse yourselves in the unique traditions of the Shangaan community, gaining insights without intruding on their daily lives. After an own-expense lunch the day ends with a return to Kruger for dinner. Note that activities outside Kruger are optional and at your own expense. This mornings safari is along the Sabie River, renowned for the highest density of Leopards in Kruger. The river, home to Hippos, Crocodiles, and various wildlife, offers a promising adventure. After a hearty breakfast, journey north towards Satara, stopping at a scenic picnic site for drinks. Pass through lion territories, home to well-known prides, with a chance to spot the rare white lioness. Arriving at Satara in the midday, enjoy lunch and relax before an afternoon drive to explore the grasslands. Satara, hosting your family in 2-bedroom units, boasts a waterhole outside the fence for wildlife viewing. For dinner, experience the camp restaurant at your own expense before embarking on a Kruger night drive. This unique experience offers glimpses of big cats on the prowl and encounters with nocturnal creatures like civets, genets, owls, porcupines, and honey badgers. After breakfast head towards the exit gates of Kruger. We travel along the Drakensberg escarpment before we start to ascend it. Our first stop will be at one of the viewpoints overlooking the Lowveld from the Highveld at the Blyde River Canyon. We will have a bird’s eye view of the Lowveld we’ve been exploring the past few days before we head to a very old mining town called “Pilgrims Rest”. Pilgrims Rest has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the town`s cultural importance and the town seems to be frozen in time. From here we head towards Graskop, a small town where we will have lunch. After Lunch we will head over to God’s Window a view that is so beautiful that it is believed to be God`s window to see earth. Here we get a true glimpse of how earth appears from the clouds and the view is breath-taking! Tonight we will be sleeping in a resort at the Blyde River Canyon. You will be staying in a 2 bedroom family unit and we will prepare our last dinner together. Mid-range chalet Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included

At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari. We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more. Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here. If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again. Many thanks to the entire Team.

We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. But we will come back, and in the meantime, we will recommend Wild Planet Safari (with Eric) to all our friends. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, Eric. We are glad to have met you.

We had a wonderful time touring Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safari. We did an extended north to south tour and our guides, Eric and Ryan were great. Hope was our cook and his meals were wonderful! Thale took care of all the administrative details and was wonderful to work with. We hope to be able to do this again in the future!
