We will make regular stops along the way to take photographs of the beautiful landscape. Mid-morning, we will stop for a coffee break at a perfect lookout point and enjoy the vast beauty of the Namibian vista. If time allows, we will stop for the "famous Apple Pie" in Solitaire, a true Namibian tradition that cannot be missed. This journey will take approximately 4 to 5 hours and we will arrive at our lodge in time for watching the beautiful sunset. We'll enjoy some drinks while we discuss the plans for tomorrow's early start. Damaraland

Day 5

Damaraland

Today, we'll continue our safari northwards along the Skeleton Coast. This bleak and evocatively named area is one of the most unusual coastal wildernesses on the planet, protecting about a third of Namibia’s long coastline. After visiting one of the many shipwrecks along the coast for some dramatic photographs, we will turn inland towards spectacular Damaraland. We will drive past the Brandberg and in the distance, we will also see the Spitzkoppe, one of Namibia's most recognizable landmarks. This beautiful mountainous region is home to an assortment of scientifically important desert-adapted wildlife such as elephants, rhinos, zebras and lions, which somehow survive and thrive in this near-barren landscape. We hope to see some of them; a special treat indeed! We will be at our lodge in time for a sundowner drink while we enjoy the view over this rugged but beautiful landscape. Day 6

Twyfelfontein and Etosha National Park

This morning after breakfast, we'll slowly make our way to Etosha National Park. On the way there, we will visit Twyfelfontein, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 2,000-plus rock petroglyphs, estimated to be 6,000 years old, represent one of Africa’s largest and most noteworthy concentrations of rock art. Most of these well-preserved engravings represent rhinos. The site also includes depictions of elephants, ostriches and giraffes, as well as drawings of human and animal footprints, all done in red ochre. Here, we will also look out for the Namib Desert’s weird-looking living fossil plants, the Welwitschia. We will arrive at our lodge on the southwestern side of Etosha late in the afternoon and settle into our accommodation. We will meet up for some sundowners and have a wonderful dinner while discussing our plans for tomorrow. Early this morning, we'll make our way to the entrance gate of Etosha National Park (the gates open at sunrise) where we will do our first game drive in our own vehicle. We will stop briefly at some of the waterholes on the way to Okaukuejo Resort, where we will stop to stretch our legs and spend some time sitting at the waterhole. We have enjoyed many wonderful sightings at the camp waterholes and your expert guide will give you more information on each animal you will see and each area you will visit. We have the option to spend the full day in the park or return to the lodge for lunch. We can also arrange a picnic lunch and enjoy this at one of the picnic spots inside the park. We will spend some time at the waterhole in Halali Resort and if we are lucky, we will pick up some extra wildlife and bird species at this wonderful waterhole. We will arrive at our lodge late in the afternoon and after settling in, we will get together for some sundowner drinks around the camp bushfire. Mind blowing experience

Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from the beginning, communications were excellent regarding itinerary planning and realised very quickly we were in the hands of true travel professionals. The consultant prepared a fantastic itinerary at short notice to suit our budget and we had a brilliant and very memorable birding trip around Namibia for 16 days. We travelled with a clued up bird guide who drove us very safely the whole 4,475km journey. The guide was extremely hard working, diligent and patient with us with a good sense of humour. All the lodges and camps selected ranged from nice to beyond beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nature Travel Namibia and we will be back to do it again one day.

A comfortable and well-organized Namibia tour and Safari

We organized the tour of Namibia, the safari, next stops at Victoria Falls and Chobe through e-mail exchanges. Mrs Petra was attentive to our requests and able to adapt her proposal to our preferences. She understood what we wanted and helped us to turn a dream into reality. It was amazing! The guide, Marcel, she is an excellent driver. She knows the areas very well and we didn’t miss any opportunity to see animals and experience fun adventure. she is positive, communicative and respectful of customer’s space. The transfers and accommodations were well organized. We can say it was unforgettable holiday because of landscapes, animals, contact with nature, confort and good vibes!

Beyond Expectations: A Journey of a lifetime with Joram, the best guide ever ❤️

From the moment our adventure began, Nature Travel Namibia delivered an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail—from the seamless logistics to the thoughtfully curated itinerary, which included all our special requests—reflected their commitment to excellence and genuine passion for travel. Communication with Pepi was very smooth throughout. Joram, the BEST GUIDE EVER, was wonderful from the moment he picked us up at the airport and remained exceptional throughout the entire trip. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our family. His local insights added depth to every stop, turning each moment into a story worth remembering. The accommodations, meals, and activities were all top-notch, striking the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The app that allowed us to follow the itinerary—from Windhoek through Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, and finally the breathtaking Etosha—was very handy. We especially loved the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, and each lodge had its own unique personal touch. The state-run ones within Etosha were more crowded, but still enjoyable. Namibia is such a wonderful country—it truly felt like we were part of a David Attenborough documentary. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch, thanks to Joram, who took such amazing care of us that saying goodbye was genuinely emotional. I wholeheartedly recommend this operator to anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience. Thank you for making this trip extraordinary!

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us.

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us. Everything was professionally done and the selection of lodges was superb. Nadine managed to get a small celebration form my wife's birthday as well. Our guide, Stewart Matsoto made the experience even better with his good knowledge of the country and the nature. I strongly suggest to organize your next tour or safari with Nature Travel Namibia.
