We were a family group of 6 that wanted to travel only with our group. We knew the area and animals we wanted to see and the number of days we could travel. To say that Sekanka camp staff were beyond our wildest expectations is an understatement. Our cook was constantly amazing us with homemade breads and treats made in a camp fire stove box. She fed all of us including a picky vegetarian, and we loved every meal. Our leader Lowe was the kindest, hardest working man who would do anything for you - and did. He will always be considered part of our family. Our Guide Eddie was top notch. He knew every single animal, bird and plant we looked at. He could spot a hidden lion in a split second that we couldn’t see for minutes after he stopped and pointed her out. He knew every road and path in every park, was patient with our questions and game for anything we wanted to do. We really never thought we’d find could find a safari for just the six of us that we would be able to afford. Once we got to Africa we were still afraid that maybe it was too good to be true and no one would pick us up - but Sekanka was there for us every step of the way. We would go back in a heartbeat

Our safari took us over 13 days from Maun to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. After two days, we continued to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. From there, three days later, we went back to Maun for an overnight stay. From there, we drove to the Okavango Delta to the Moremi Game Reserve, and from there via Khwai and Savuti to the Chobe River Front and Kasan, where our safari ended after 13 days. I had planned the course of the safari myself and discussed its implementation with Sekanka Safari Tours (especially with Anna and Tepo) by email. Sekanka Safari Tours perfectly realized my ideas. Everything worked out wonderfully, and we (four participants) together with the Sekanka team (five people; one guide, one cook, and three camp attendants) had a marvelous time on this extraordinary safari. The costs for this custom safari were reasonable compared to other safari tours. All four participants were of the opinion that they would go on a safari tour with Sekanka again.

The Land Cruiser was old, but robust and in good condition. Our guide was an excellent driver. He knew not only the roads, but also the animals and plants we encountered. We had all the time we wanted to take photographs. There was always a plentiful supply of drinks, and any drink requests were fulfilled immediately. Wine was always served with dinner, and it was well chilled at our request. The tents for the night were always set up by a small support team before our arrival. We usually stayed for two nights, and after the first night, the tent was perfectly cleaned and tidied. We had our own cook with us, who prepared perfect multi-course meals for us over an open fire. We sat together around the campfire before and after dinner. We were a small group, four travelers and five people to serve us. It was wonderful, and we got along very well with the service team.
