Day 1
Departing Johannesburg at 06:30am we head north-east into the world famous Kruger National Park. We visit the remote and seldom visited the northern part of the park from Letaba to Pafuri. We enjoy game drives in our safari vehicle and hope to spot lion, elephant, rhino and other animals in this icon of wildlife conservation. An essential part of your safari is participation. From putting up your tent to packing the truck in the morning—it’s all part of your adventure. Your tour leaders will do all the meal preparation but we do ask the clients to help (on rotation) with the washing up. Please note that although Sunway has all the correct paperwork, the Beitbridge border crossing into Zimbabwe can take a long time, which can make for a particularly long day. Note: Day 1 breakfast is not included. Inside Kruger NP (South Africa) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 3
You will be entering Zimbabwe at the Beit Bridge border post and travelling to the town of Masvingo and the Great Zimbabwe Monuments. The well-preserved ruins are some of the oldest and largest stone structures in Southern Africa and were built during the 11th to 14th Centuries. You will explore on foot the mysteries of these ancient stone structures and the civilization that built them. All meals included Drinks not included
Day 4
Moving on to Bulawayo, you will arrive late in the afternoon and set up your camp on the outskirts of the park, before enjoying a sundowner and an evening around the campfire. The following morning, you will head to the Matobo National Park with a local guide to visit the core of the Matopos Hills, an area of granite koppies and wooded valleys. On our open-vehicle game drive, you will get a clear view of the historical site of Cecil John Rhodes' grave and discover the unusual rock formations characteristic of this area. As part of your visit, you will take a guided walk to track and hopefully find endangered white rhinos, as well as other wildlife, and view bushman rock paintings. Just outside Matobo NP (Zimbabwe) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 6
Named after a local Nhanzwa chief, Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14,650 square kilometers, and is located in the north-west corner of the country. It is famed for its large elephant population. Your camp is in the game management area that borders the park. You will explore the park with our local guide, on a full-day game drive in an open 4WD game-viewing vehicle. Bordering Hwange NP (Zimbabwe) without fences All meals included Drinks not included
Day 8
You will camp for two nights in the town of Victoria Falls. There, you will enjoy a spectacular walk through tropical vegetation to the very edge of the “Mosi oa Tunya” or “the smoke that thunders”—Victoria Falls. There are opportunities to white water raft on the mighty Zambezi River, bungee jump, or take a “flight of angels” (own expense). Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 10
After entering Botswana, your camp is located in the town of Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River. The river flows lazily along the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park attracting some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. The highlight of any trip to Chobe is the afternoon game viewing “sundowner” cruise where you can see a large number of elephants and other wildlife as they quench their thirst at the end of the day. Just outside Chobe NP (Botswana) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 11
This morning there is time for an optional (own expense) game drive in the Chobe National Park. Heading south through the Kasane Forest Reserve you will make your way to Gweta for an overnight stop. Here, you will sleep with your tents nestled at the base of ancient baobab trees. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 12
After an early start, you will depart for Maun where you will then transfer into the delta by an open 4WD game-viewing vehicle. Our local guides will take you deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta on a mokoro (dug-out canoe). Being gently pulled through the network of channels is an experience not to be missed. The delta which forms as rainwater from the Angolan highlands flows out over the Kalahari Desert sands, forming a delicate, green oasis for birds and wildlife. You will camp wild on remote islands in this amazingly dynamic environment and enjoy bush walks, bird watching and swimming in the clear waters. You will be camping with the local guides and learn more about their lifestyle and culture. You will return to Maun in the late afternoon of day 14 and have time for an optional (own expense) game flight over the Okavango, which will reveal a different aspect of the delta. Note: Day 14 dinner will be own expense at a local restaurant. Inside Okavango Delta (Botswana) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 15
Heading south from Maun, you will drive through the wide open spaces of the Kalahari Desert on your way to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This is a community-based wildlife project established in 1992 to assist in saving the extinct rhinos, restore an area formerly teeming with wildlife to its previous natural state and provide economic benefits to the local Batswana community through tourism and the sustainable use of natural resources. You can expect to spot some of the elusive rhinos on an afternoon game drive. All meals included Drinks not included
Day 16
Crossing back into South Africa, you will make your way to Johannesburg where the tour ends in the late afternoon. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5I started at Victoria Falls and travelled through Botswana and Namibia, camping for most of 21 nights. I was a bit apprehensive as my trip had been delayed 3 years, but Bruce and Grace's communication was helpful, friendly and positive and made me feel happy. The trip itself was magnificent, it surpassed any expectations I had. My guides, Patrick and Moses were knowledgeable, humorous, hard working and catered meals to a high standard. I was well briefed each day about the itinerary, what to expect and lists of highlights. Geography, political and social information as well as superb information about the wildlife was constant and I gained such insights. I was comfortable in my tent and in the van - P and M always made sure to check I was okay. I really felt like I saw what was special, the itinerary was well set. I left Livingstone and Africa feeling like I left home, with a love that grew because my experience was so enriching. I can't thank Sunways, Patrick and Moses enough for the experience of a lifetime. My tour was NB21 and I would do it all again - though I have been told of the Malawi Mozambique tour and am saving my pennies.

We took the 16 day accommodated Game Tracker through South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. We enjoyed every day of our trip. It was our first safari and so everything was new to us; we never tired of seeing the birds and animals and even just driving though the countryside. Our guides Chris and Joseph were outstanding. They always gave us a briefing about what to expect the next day, after dinner in the evening. They provided a wealth of information about the birds, animals, the culture and the landscape and even the economies of the countries we visited. We had a nice mix off meals in lodges/restaurants and meals made by the guides. Everything was delicious and by and large very healthy as well. While we were in Okavango, we had koodoo (farmed, not wild) stew. The lodges selected by Sunway were great- very comfortable and they usually had very nice grounds that were good for bird watching. Some of the restaurants are still learning about the logistics of serving customers and getting them their bills. But the guides are aware of this and so we usually placed our orders ahead of time so there were not long delays getting our meals. We absolutely detest camping, so we were not big fans of the accommodation in the Okavango Delta. If you like camping, it would be great. But anyway, we loved the whole Okavango experience. It was definitely worth any shortcomings with the accommodation. The local guides selected by Sunway for the most part were excellent. for example, our guide for Thebes River in Botswana seemed to know exactly how to position the boat and the safari vehicle to get the best pictures. Our favourite parts of the trip were the Thebes River cruise and game drive and the salt pan (for the birds). The vehicle we used to get from venue to venue was called the red elephant. It is a custom designed truck. The seating was comfortable and you got good views from the windows. We always had snacks available, mostly local fruits. Of course what everyone goes on a safari for is the animals. We got great views of lions, buffalo, hippos, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, koodoos, impala, monkeys and much more in many of the places we visited. The Sunway trip was great value and we would definitely consider another trip with Sunway
