Day 1
Pick-Up and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla Trekking
Your adventure begins with an early hotel pick-up around 4:30 AM and a packed breakfast. You'll enjoy a scenic drive to Musanze, passing Rwanda’s rolling hills and catching the sunrise. At Kinigi, you will meet your expert guides and complete park formalities before embarking on the unforgettable gorilla trek. You'll spend up to one hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat, watching their playful and social behaviors. After trekking, you will return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to experience local traditions and learn about the Gorilla Guardians’ inspiring work. You'll relax at your lodge in the evening. Day 2
Golden Monkey Trekking & Return to Kigali
After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for golden monkey trekking. You'll meet your guides for a briefing, then explore the forest in search of these lively primates. You'll observe their antics and enjoy the lush surroundings for about an hour. You will return to your lodge for an early lunch, then check out and begin your transfer back to Kigali. Along the way, you'll stop for souvenir shopping to take a piece of Rwanda home. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Kigali International Airport, concluding your safari with incredible memories of Rwanda’s wildlife, culture, and landscapes.
