Zanzibar - Tarangire National Park

Day 1

Zanzibar - Tarangire National Park

You will depart Arusha Airport from Zanzibar. A driver will pick you up from the airport and start a game drive in Tarangire National Park. You’ll be greeted by a landscape dominated by majestic baobabs rising out of the acacia parklands, forming a perfect backdrop for the large herds of African elephants wandering among them. Other mammals sharing this habitat are lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongoose, impalas, Beisa oryx, Steinboks, and African hares. You should also expect to see buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and waterbucks. The variety of birds you may see include the Maasai ostrich, white-headed vulture, African scoop owls, and the endemic ashy starling. You will have lunch in the park and drive to Surcate Boma Lodge later in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay. Mid-range lodge located 1-2hr drive from Tarangire NP Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) All drinks (Except for spirits/liquor)

Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to Zanzibar

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to Zanzibar

You'll have breakfast at Surcate Boma Lodge. Ngorongoro Crater is one of those places that has to be seen words alone cannot do it justice. After leaving your lodge, you’ll drive down into what was once, many years ago, the fiery heart of a huge volcano. Today this natural wonder has a much more peaceful atmosphere as wildebeests, Coke’s hartebeests, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and common zebra feed contentedly as the ever-present lions and cheetah will allow. The black rhinos here are the only ones less concerned about these predators. The bird life in the crater varies according to the seasons but during your visit, you should see grey-crowned cranes, lappet-faced vultures, black-bellied and kori bustards, Fischer’s lovebird, and northern anteater chat among many others. Your lunch will be served at the designated picnic site in the crater. Later on, you will drive back to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Great Guide, Great Vehicle and Perfectly Organised

We did the Manyara Gane Drive and it was perfect from beginning to end. The guide was a great tracker leading us to a range of animals and gave us all the background information. Skdo parked in good spots to get pictures. 10 out of 10.

Beyond expectations

From day 1, Antonia was super helpful helping us plan this trip. She answered my million questions and explained everything very detailed to make sure my trip was just as I wanted and kept communication going the whole time. Since we arrived in Tanzania the service we received from Serengeti African tours was 5 stars. Our accommodation was super comfortable, we had great food every day and all the staff always super friendly. Our tour guide Gift was the best, he knew all about the animals and was always finding the spots to get us the best views. Super helpful at all times and always encouraging us to ask the right questions and making us remember the animals we saw. Overall everything was beyond expectations and we would do it again a million times. Asante sana.

Amazing

As nature lovers, this safari has been a turning point in our lives. A unique and unforgettable experience where the animals come to see you, not the other way around—this is when you truly realize what real freedom is. It’s true that luck plays a role, but having such an experienced guide like Mathew allowed us to enjoy the trip to the fullest and have truly incredible encounters. My favorite moment was when a pregnant leopard calmly decided to visit us right next to the 4x4. Situations like that only happen when the driver knows how to handle the vehicle and always maintains respect for wildlife. He also explained every detail about the parks and was very open with us—we had a great time! A 100% recommended experience.
