Overview
You'll experience an adventurous safari that begins with a train ride from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi. Each day, you will go on game drives through the stunning landscapes of Mikumi National Park, featuring iconic baobab trees and expansive plains rich in wildlife. In addition to spotting big cats, elephants, and a variety of plains game, there are also some rare species, such as sable antelope, African wild dogs, blue wildebeest, and Lichtenstein's hartebeest.

Day 1
Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
From Dar es Salaam, you will catch a train to Morogoro Railway Station. Once you arrive, you will be collected and transferred to Mikumi National Park. Once you enter the park, you will already be on your first game drive! Stop somewhere for a picnic lunch along the way, before you reach Stanley's Kopje, your home in the bush for the next 3 nights. You'll check in and then enjoy a shared afternoon game drive. Train travel time: ~1 1/2 hours. Luxury tented camp located inside Mikumi NP Dinner (Breakfast & lunch not included) Drinks not included

Mikumi National Park
On both days, you will head out on an early morning shared game drive between 6:30 and 11:00 am or choose a later game drive between 8:00 am and 12:30 pm, and then come back to the lodge for a hot breakfast, after which you can relax. After lunch, you will go out on a shared afternoon game drive between 4:00 and 6:30 pm and then come back to the lodge for dinner. After a shared morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip to catch your light aircraft flight to Dar es Salaam Airport. We are happy to help with organising any add-on travel arrangements within Africa. All meals included Drinks not included
