Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive north through Kenya’s central highlands. You will make a brief stopover for refreshments before continuing toward the semi-arid northern frontier. Arriving at Samburu National Reserve around midday, you’ll check in at your lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch while overlooking the rugged wilderness. After some time to relax, you’ll head out for your first afternoon game drive. Samburu is distinct from other parks due to its dry landscape and unique wildlife species, often referred to as the “Samburu Special Five,” including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. The Ewaso Nyiro River, which cuts through the reserve, attracts a wide variety of animals, making it an excellent place for wildlife viewing as the day cools. Day 2
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve, starting with an early morning game drive when animals are most active. The cool morning hours provide the best opportunity to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and possibly cheetahs before they retreat from the rising heat. As the sun rises, you’ll also encounter herds of elephants making their way to the river, along with antelope species grazing in the open plains. Return to your lodge for breakfast and some leisure time, where you can relax and enjoy the serene environment, often with wildlife visible from the camp itself. After lunch, embark on another afternoon game drive to further explore different sections of the reserve. For those interested in culture, an optional visit to a nearby Samburu village can be arranged, offering insight into traditional customs, dress, and daily life of the Samburu people at extra cost. This combination of wildlife and cultural interaction makes Samburu a truly unique safari destination. Day 3
After an early breakfast, depart Samburu and begin your journey south toward the Great Rift Valley. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the dry northern terrain back into the greener highlands, with scenic views along the way. You’ll pass through small towns and rural communities, giving you a glimpse into everyday Kenyan life beyond the parks. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in this compact yet incredibly rich park. Lake Nakuru is internationally known as a rhino sanctuary, offering one of the best chances in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos up close. The park is also home to Rothschild giraffes, lions, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife. Depending on water levels and season, the lake may be fringed with flamingos, creating a stunning pink shoreline. The surrounding acacia woodlands and rocky escarpments add to the park’s scenic beauty. Mid-range lodge located inside Lake Nakuru NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
After breakfast, you’ll depart Lake Nakuru National Park and travel south toward Amboseli National Park. This is the drive of the safari and takes you across the floor of the Rift Valley and onward via Nairobi or a bypass route, depending on traffic and timing. You may stop for lunch en route before continuing your journey. As you approach Amboseli, the landscape opens up into vast plains, and on clear days, the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro comes into view, rising above the clouds just across the border in Tanzania. You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp in the late afternoon or early evening, with time to relax and soak in the stunning surroundings. If time allows, a short evening game drive may be arranged. Mid-range lodge located just outside Amboseli NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic and photogenic parks. You’ll begin with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness Mount Kilimanjaro clearly before clouds gather around its peak. The sight of elephants roaming the plains with the snow-capped mountain in the background is one of Africa’s most famous safari images. Amboseli is particularly known for its large elephant herds, many of which are well studied and accustomed to vehicles, allowing for close and memorable encounters. Beyond elephants, the park is home to lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, zebras, and numerous bird species. The park’s swamps, fed by underground water from Kilimanjaro, attract wildlife year-round and provide a lush contrast to the otherwise dry plains. After a midday break at your lodge, you’ll head out again in the afternoon for more game viewing and photography as the sun sets over the savannah or just opt for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Day 6
After early breakfast with morning game drive, depart Amboseli for onward travel to Mombasa approximately 4hours transfer by road with lunch served enroute. Drop-off at your beach hotel marks the end of your safari and the beginning of your coastal stay. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5We had a last minute idea for a safari on our business trip to go to Amboseli and despite it being within the week, Rozsella could sort it out for us. They were professional with great communication all the way through. Although a fairy new company, the vehicle was comfortable, driver friendly and overall I found them to be very trust worthy (something I value when dealing with a new company abroad). All in all, this was a great experience and I would recommend them to all. Thanks Maurice and Felix!

Game driving with Rozsella Africa Safaris was a great experience! We had a blast seeing lots of animals. We chose Rozsella because of their services and well communication before, during and at the end of the trip. We chose to have a group joining experience and it ended with Japheth with a private safari and I had the best time, he is passionate, he is the best guide and amazing human being. Hotels were really nice, we spotted hundred of animals like elephants, lions, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas… we could not have asked for a better African time. They care about your needs and they do everything to please you to the top and they make sure you are safe and well taken-care of. Make sure we will choose Rozsella for our next trip to Kenya ! Thank you Rozsella Team and Japheth
