Day 1
Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve
You will be met by your driver-guide before departing for Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive at the reserve and your guide will take you to the Safari Camp followed by lunch. You will then enjoy the afternoon game drive and return to the camp. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp. Day 2
Samburu National Reserve Exploration
You will have an early breakfast at the camp. You will carry a packed lunch and enjoy a full-day game drive. The Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River, while the Buffalo Springs National Reserve is located on the other side of the river in Northern Kenya. It is located 350 kilometers from Nairobi and ranges in elevation from 800 to 1230 meters above sea level. The reserve is teeming with wildlife, including rare northern specialist species like the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and beisa Oryx. You have a good chance of seeing lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. This reserve is scenic due to its spectacular rocky outcrops, wonderful Domas palms, and the shaded Ewaso Nyiro River, which serves as the Samburu reserve's life source. Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast, you will be departing via road to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and you will be escorted to your camp after lunch. You will then enjoy the afternoon game drive and return to the camp. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp. Day 5
Masai Mara National Reserve Exploration
You will have an early morning game drive, which offers you a chance to view a wide variety of wildlife in this magical reserve. The early morning game drives in the Masai Mara are recommended because the temperatures are milder, and it is more likely that lions, cheetahs, and leopards will be prowling the vast plains in search of prey. After having breakfast at the camp, you will spend the remaining time of the morning at leisure or engage in optional activities, such as a visit to the Maasai community to observe their nomadic lifestyle at an additional fee. After lunch, you will go on a game drive in the afternoon to learn more about the Mara and search for the Big Five. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp. The Masai Mara reserve is a beautiful sight to see and I was happy to make a bucket list accommplishment by finally seeing the savannah. Commitment and service delivery at its best!
We took a 6 day safari covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli national park. The tour was well planned by Charles and executed by Jared our guide. We managed to see all the big 5 both in Mara and Amboseli among other predators and grazers. We also saw hippo and crocodiles at Mara river. Jared knew the best routes to warrant sighting of of the wildlife. His sense of humour was amazing and he was always patient with us. Salina Wild Adventures did a commendable job. Highly recommended.
