Day 1
You'll kick off your safari with an early breakfast before being picked up by your driver-guide from your hotel or the airport. Your journey begins with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exhilarating trek to observe the majestic rhinos—the only members of the Big Five missing in Murchison Falls National Park. After lunch at the sanctuary, you'll continue to Murchison Falls, arriving in the evening. You'll enjoy a short evening game drive before settling into your lodge for the night. Day 2
After breakfast, you'll enjoy a scenic 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile River, observing hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the shore. You'll return to the lodge for lunch and rest before an exciting afternoon. You'll embark on an afternoon game drive on the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park. You'll witness diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, and numerous bird species. Day 3
You'll depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping for lunch en route. This scenic journey takes you through vibrant African villages, tea plantations, and banana fields. You'll arrive at your lodge in the evening, with the option of an evening game drive if time permits. Day 4
You'll start the day with breakfast, then head to Kyambura Gorge for an early morning chimpanzee trekking adventure. After a briefing, you'll embark on a forest hike where you may encounter these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of bird species, including the rare shoebill. Day 5
On your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you'll traverse the Ishasha Sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. You'll watch for lions nestled in the fig trees, along with topis and elephants, in this stunning savannah landscape. You'll enjoy lunch in Ishasha before continuing onward to Bwindi, where the terrain shifts dramatically to lush jungle-covered mountains. Day 6
You'll have an early breakfast and head to the briefing point for your highly anticipated gorilla trekking adventure. Depending on the gorilla family assigned to you, this trek can last 3 to 6 hours through breathtaking rainforest and bamboo slopes. You'll savor the unique experience of observing the mountain gorillas up close, with a packed lunch enjoyed in the forest. Afterward, you'll relax at your lodge before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 7
After breakfast, you'll begin your journey back to Entebbe International Airport, with a stop at the Equator for memorable photographs and souvenir shopping.
