Nairobi (Arrival)
You will be received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your city hotel for the night. Day 2
Nairobi - Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will be transferred to Wilson Airport Nairobi in time for your flight to the Maasai Mara. This is a 50-minute flight time. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airstrip in Maasai Mara and take you to the camp, where you will check in for the duration of the tour. After lunch, you'll go on a game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay are at the camp. Day 3
Maasai Mara Exploration
Wake up to an early morning game drive and return to the camp for breakfast. The Maasai Mara is well-known for its spectacular wildlife, which includes the Big Five, as well as its wildebeest migration. After that, you'll enjoy a relaxed morning, lunch, and an afternoon game drive. You can also take part in some of the camp activities like naming ceremonies, or an optional visit to Maasai villages, walking safaris, traditional dances, hot-air balloon rides (if reserved in advance) and other activities at an additional fee. Day 6
Watamu Beach Exploration
You will explore the seemingly limitless beauty of the coastal region, and you will have five full days of relaxation and excitement. Watamu offers a variety of worthwhile attractions and activities. The resort can organize these for you at an additional expense. For the more daring, there is the option of snorkeling over the coral reef in the morning, or sports like scuba diving. You can learn how to dive, kite-surf, or go on a sunset dhow tour on Mida Creek. Deep-sea fishing, humpback whale viewing, and exploring the Arabuko Sokoke Forest - the largest, most intact coastal forest in East Africa - are available to those who enjoy animals. This forest is home to some of Kenya's rarest creatures, beautiful butterflies, and salty mangroves. A drive to Malindi is another option if you want to find Swahili artifacts and explore the lively small streets. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the hotel. I have nothing but good things to say about Charles and Phillip. The entire trip, we were never in the dark about what to expect or what came next. The Masai Mara reserve is a beautiful sight to see and I was happy to make a bucket list accommplishment by finally seeing the savannah. Commitment and service delivery at its best!
We took a 6 day safari covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli national park. The tour was well planned by Charles and executed by Jared our guide. We managed to see all the big 5 both in Mara and Amboseli among other predators and grazers. We also saw hippo and crocodiles at Mara river. Jared knew the best routes to warrant sighting of of the wildlife. His sense of humour was amazing and he was always patient with us. Salina Wild Adventures did a commendable job. Highly recommended.
