Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Pick-up will be from either the hotel or the airport upon arrival. Our professional, English-speaking driver-guide will then transfer you to the edge of Kibale Forest National Park for your overnight stay. Upon arrival at your accommodations, you will check in and relax. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Kibale NP (Chimps) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for a briefing, then embark on chimpanzee tracking, with one hour permitted for viewing. Return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a journey that takes approximately two hours by road. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
Wake up early and have breakfast, then proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you can look out for Cape buffalo, herds of elephants, and predators such as lions and leopards (though these are hard to spot), among others. Return to your accommodations for some rest and lunch. After lunch, go for a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward, where you can see wildlife including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, as well as many varieties of birds along the water shores. After the boat trip, you can either return to the lodge to rest or proceed for a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
Have breakfast and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the southern sector (Ishasha) of Queen Elizabeth National Park. There is about a 60–70% chance of seeing tree-climbing lions, though they can be hard to spot—especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey. If you do spot them up in the trees, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, continue on the final leg of the journey to your accommodations situated at the edge of Bwindi. Upon arrival at the lodge, check in and have lunch. In the evening, you will visit the Batwa community, where you can enjoy cultural dances and participate in activities such as traditional cooking and weaving, among others. Budget guest house located just outside Buhoma (Bwindi Impenetrable NP) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
Have breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing from a ranger guide on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Thereafter, enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular, offering a dramatic, steeply forested landscape that is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary depending on the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed one hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Later, you will return to your accommodations and rest after the strenuous trek. If interested, you can go out again to encounter the local community (optional, cost not included). Budget guest house located just outside Buhoma (Bwindi Impenetrable NP) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
Eat breakfast at the lodge, then check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach heights of 2,200–2,478 meters, but it is the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical—you could admire them all day. Enjoy a cruise on the lake, which will introduce you to the major islands and their rich history. Thereafter, return to your accommodations for more relaxation, with spectacular views of Lake Bunyonyi right in front of you. Budget resort located at Lake Bunyonyi All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then set off for Lake Mburo National Park. Mburo is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Entebbe and Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks but is home to many bird species as well as animals such as giraffes, zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, and the elusive leopard, among others. Arrive and check in for some rest before heading out for a late afternoon to evening game drive that will bring you up close with the Mburo inhabitants. Finally, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Budget tented bush camp located just outside Lake Mburo NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 8
Have an early breakfast and proceed for a morning bush walk in Lake Mburo in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, other antelope, and Cape buffalo, among others, at close range. You will then return to your accommodations for check-out and then drive to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5Pilama Safaris is one of the best travel companies I have engaged with. Anthony really listened to our requirements and built an itinerary that worked for us. There was time to make tweaks and refine what we wanted to do. Nothing was ever a problem, including chimpanzee tracking, where my youngest was 11.5 instead of 12 years old. Anthony quickly arranged a permit for her, and we were able to experience the chimpanzees together. Communication was plentiful and mainly conducted over WhatsApp. Anthony very quickly became a friend! I got a real sense that Anthony LOVES his job. He wanted to make everything wonderful for us. And to be met by the team at the airport was so lovely. Martin was our jeep driver and guide. He was so wonderful to be around with his calm and gentle nature. His deep knowledge of wildlife, especially birds, was a real treat for us. We felt so looked after with Pilama Safaris.

My guide, Dennis, was truly wonderful. He has worked as a ranger and is extremely knowledgeable about the geography and animal habitats of Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. He planned the itinerary taking into account the animal's activity times. I experienced truly rare moments. The lodge was wonderful and lovely with tasty dishes. The operator, Anthony, frequently communicated with me with messages to ensure I didn't feel anxious before the tour began. He also took great care in having a meeting with the guide the day before the tour. I will definitely recommend the campaney to my friends. Thank you for an invaluable experience!

Our trip to Uganda was unforgettable. We opted for a gorilla trekking tour with Pilama Safaris. It was my first such tour and also my first trip to Uganda. My travels usually take me to Southeast and South Asia. But this trip was something special. I found myself just a few meters away from a gorilla family in Bwindi and could hardly believe my eyes. I was moved to tears to be able to get so close to these animals. These gentle giants. I hadn't expected that. The entire organization was effortless yet remarkably sophisticated. Daniel, our tour guide, expertly shared his insider knowledge and was simply a pleasant person to listen to. He knew what he was doing as we entered the gorillas' domain. We felt safe and well cared for and had a great time. After Uganda, we went to the Masai Mara, where we had the opportunity and the incredible luck to witness the Great Migration. What an experience! I'll be able to tell my grandchildren about it. When thousands of wildebeest crossed the Mara River, it was like something out of a nature film, and we were right in the middle of it, not just spectators. Pilama Safaris also has a real knack for choosing accommodations. Every lodge is definitely recommendable, even for a longer stay. Communication with the organizers was straightforward and based on a handshake agreement. What was agreed upon was delivered and was well worth the money. One more thing: the trip planning and the entire itinerary were coordinated with us in advance and were tailor-made. Even when we wanted to add a relaxing day at short notice, the program was quickly changed, and we were able to unwind in the hotel's spa area. (automatic translation from German)
