Day 2
After breakfast, drive to the northern side of Kilimanjaro near the Kenyan border to reach Rongai Gate. After registration, begin your trek through farmland and pine forest. The trail is gentle and less crowded, offering a peaceful start to your climb. You may spot wildlife such as colobus monkeys along the way. Gradually ascend to Simba Camp, located on the edge of the moorland zone with views of the Kenyan plains. Enjoy dinner and rest as you begin acclimatizing to the altitude. Overnight at Simba Camp. Day 3
Continue your ascent through moorland with expansive views and unique vegetation. The trail is steady and allows for a comfortable trekking pace, making it ideal for acclimatization. As you climb higher, the landscape opens up, offering panoramic views of the mountain and surrounding wilderness. Arrive at Second Cave Camp, where you will rest and enjoy the quiet environment. This shorter day helps your body adjust to altitude while conserving energy for the days ahead. Overnight at Second Cave Camp. on Mt Kilimanjaro All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 4
Trek steadily upward toward Kikilewa Camp, passing through rolling hills and valleys. The trail becomes steeper in sections, and the vegetation becomes more sparse as you approach higher elevations. Enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi Peak, one of Kilimanjaro’s rugged volcanic cones. The campsite is located in a sheltered valley, offering a scenic and peaceful environment. This day is important for acclimatization as you continue gaining altitude gradually. Relax, hydrate, and prepare for the next stage of the climb. Overnight at Kikelewa Camp. on Mt Kilimanjaro All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 5
Today’s trek is shorter but steeper as you climb toward Mawenzi Tarn, situated beneath the dramatic spires of Mawenzi Peak. The landscape becomes alpine desert, with rocky terrain and minimal vegetation. Upon arrival at camp, enjoy spectacular views and take time to rest. This is a key acclimatization day, allowing your body to adjust before heading to higher altitudes. You may take a short acclimatization walk in the afternoon. Overnight at Mawenzi Tarn Camp. on Mt Kilimanjaro All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 6
Cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks, a vast high-altitude desert with little vegetation. The terrain is dry and exposed, and the altitude makes the trek more challenging. Arrive at Kibo Hut, the base camp for your summit attempt. After lunch, rest and prepare for the midnight ascent. Your guide will brief you on the summit strategy, including pacing and safety. Eat an early dinner and try to sleep, as you will begin your summit push around midnight. Overnight at Kibo Hut. Budget mountain hut located on Mt Kilimanjaro All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 7
Begin your summit attempt just after midnight, trekking slowly toward Uhuru Peak. The climb is challenging but rewarding, with a sunrise summit offering breathtaking views. After celebrating at the top, descend back to Horombo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Marangu gate Horombo route. The descent is long but easier as oxygen levels increase. Enjoy a hot meal and well-deserved rest after this incredible achievement. Overnight at Horombo Camp. Budget mountain hut located on Mt Kilimanjaro All meals included Non-alcoholic drinks
Day 8
On this final day, you will descend from Horombo Hut through the heath and moorland zone, gradually re-entering the lush rainforest. The trail continues down to Mandara Hut, where you may take a short rest before proceeding further to Marangu Gate. Upon arrival at Marangu Gate, you will complete park formalities and receive your summit certificates. Afterward, you will meet your driver and transfer back to Arusha, where you can relax at your hotel and celebrate the successful completion of your Kilimanjaro climb. 5.0/5The most amazing experience that you to Joel for organising our trip from Moshi through to the Serengeti and into the Ngorongoro Crater and back. Our guide Gasper was amazing…searching for the animals every second and ensuring our safety. Very well organised safari with all meals provided and on time schedules.
Wayne Merrett · Australia
Well organised, plenty of feedback, all that was promised was met but the highlight was the guide, Gasper was a great driver ( believe me you need one) spoke English and had a passion for his job…. We regarded him as a friend by end of trip.

I took two safaris in Tanzania with Golden Trips Tanzania and Berngo Safaris, who are partners, and they were excellent. Irene was accommodating to all of my requirements and multiple last-minute date changes from the moment I initially got in touch with her! The lodgings managed by Berngo are among the best in Africa, and the guides are first-rate and very competent. Modern safari vehicles make you feel like you're in a brand-new truck every morning when you step inside and the dust has disappeared. The degree of client support is unparalleled!

Thanks to Joel, organizing this vacation was a breeze! In Arusha, we had little trouble meeting up with Ombeni, our guide. We continued our safari journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangeri, and finally the Serengeti! Ombeni was incredibly smart and informed about the wildlife; she gave us the freedom to take as many pictures as we needed to preserve these once-in-a-lifetime experiences. He took us to places where we could catch a glimpse of unique occasions and contributed to creating the most fantastic recollections. Easily among my greatest life moments. I will be asking Berngo Safaris for Ombeni when I return to Tanzania with my family!
