On your scheduled travel date, you'll be transferred by road to Livingstone Airport for a scenic flight to Lusaka, followed by a connecting flight to the Royal Zambezi Airstrip. Check out from Chongwe House and journey eastward to the legendary South Luangwa National Park. It is Zambia’s crown jewel and the birthplace of the iconic walking safari, pioneered by the renowned Norman Carr. Upon arrival at Mfuwe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your camp guides and transferred to your lodge. After settling into camp and enjoying a restful siesta, you’ll gather for a delightful afternoon high tea before heading out on your first South Luangwa safari. A walking safari here is not just an activity — it’s a rite of passage. South Luangwa is home to rare and endemic species found nowhere else on Earth, including Crawshay’s zebra, Cookson’s wildebeest, and Thornicroft’s giraffe.
