Day 1
Welcome to Tanzania! Our office representative will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to relax and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime! Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania, and most travelers pass through at some stage. Mid-range lodge located in Arusha (City) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
Your Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The transit drive is approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. This 'river of warthogs' is the region's only water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest. A range of predators, including lions and leopards, closely follows these animals. More bird species breed in Tarangire than anywhere else on the planet! The huge and ancient baobab trees can be seen here—some are said to have lived for more than a thousand years. Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the park. After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation in Karatu. Mid-range lodge located 1-2hr drive from Tarangire NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
After breakfast, you will wind your way toward Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying more wonderful sights on the way! After an entire afternoon inside the crater, you will overnight inside the crater rim. Steep volcanic walls conceal Ngorongoro Crater, a pristine wilderness with sweeping savannah, acacia woodland pockets, glistening lakes, and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you will quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. Luxury lodge located less than 1hr drive from Ngorongoro Crater All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
These two days you will have full day game drives in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is an abundant wildlife habitat, such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it is more well-known for its annual migration of herds of zebras and wildebeest. The rainfall determines the time of the year when the animals migrate and vary yearly. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. They return to the north during the extended rainy season from April to June. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking nearby. After an unforgettable day, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Mid-range tented camp located inside Central Serengeti NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
In the morning, you'll depart from Serengeti to Mwanza via the Ikoma corridor. Scenic landscapes along the way. You'll travel by day to Mwanza (approx. 5-6 hrs). No game drives scheduled.
