Day 1
OR Tambo to Dumela Camp
Get transferred from OR Tambo International Airport or accommodations in a 10 km radius around the airport, to be warmly welcomed at Dumela Tented Camp. After checking into your glamping tent, take some time to relax before your adventure begins. Domestic flights are excluded, however a more convenient way to arrive to the safari and also depart. At around 3-4 PM to 7PM (continues after dark) depending on season, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive through the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve. You'll watch for iconic wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos, as well as other fascinating animals such as giraffes, zebras, and hippos. As the sun sets, you'll enjoy a refreshing sundowner in the bush, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the African wilderness. You'll return to camp for a delicious dinner around the campfire, where you can share stories and reflect on the day’s thrilling wildlife encounters. Kruger National Park
Your day will unfold in one of two exciting ways, depending on the ideal wildlife viewing conditions: Option 1: Early morning safari You'll rise with the sun and set off on a thrilling pre-dawn game drive through Kruger National Park. You'll enjoy a tasty bush breakfast in the heart of the African wilderness before continuing your journey into the famous Orpen-Satara area, renowned for its large lion population. Option 2: Relaxed Morning You'll begin your day with a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the African bushveld. Then, you will embark on a full-day game drive, discovering the varied ecosystems of Kruger National Park in search of the legendary Big Five. After an exciting day of wildlife sightings, you will return to camp and unwind with dinner by the campfire, exchanging stories and reminiscing about the day's adventures. Kruger OR Panorama Tour
You'll start your day early and set off on an exciting full-day safari into Kruger National Park. As the first light of dawn brightens the African bushveld, you’ll have the chance to see the park's iconic wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, in their natural habitat. You can choose to begin your day with a bush breakfast amidst the tranquil surroundings or enjoy a relaxed meal at the lodge. The choice will be made based on the best wildlife viewing conditions. Your 7-8 hour safari will take you deep into the renowned Orpen-Satara area, known for its frequent lion sightings. After a day full of thrilling wildlife encounters, you will return to camp to unwind by the campfire, swapping stories and enjoying a delicious dinner beneath the stars. Alternatively, you can choose to embark on a full-day Panorama Tour, witnessing the following unforgettable landmarks: Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon. Before enjoying breakfast, you can choose from a range of exciting optional activities: Guided morning bush walk: You'll take a peaceful walk through the wilderness with an expert guide, discovering the unique flora and fauna around you. ATV quad bike safari: Feel the adrenaline as you navigate the scenic terrain on an ATV quad bike safari. Sunrise game drive: You'll experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the African sunrise on a morning game drive through the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve. After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the captivating African bushveld.
