Overview
This 4-day Rwanda Gorilla and Culture Tour is meant to provide our clients with a cultural and gorilla experience in Rwanda as a tourism destination. You will be visiting the King's Palace and the National Museum to learn more about the Rwandan culture. You'll spend some time in the northern part of Rwanda for gorilla trekking and scenic views of the Virunga range then head to Lake Kivu for relaxing and breathtaking moments. Then, you'll return to Kigali to end your trip.

Day 1
Pick up from Hotel to Volcanoes National Park
On this day, you will meet the Safari Vacations & Travel service driver guide after your morning breakfast who will take you up for the Kigali City Tour. In the land of a thousand hills, our experienced tour guide will take you through the different sites you are interested in visiting while on this Kigali city tour. You will visit Kandt House or Museum of Natural History where Dr. Richard Kandt the first German colonial resident of Rwanda resided. It's a presidential museum that is the residence of two of the former Presidents of Rwanda, the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site commemorating the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda and the country’s vibrant commercial center with an all-year-round moderate climate allowing you to visit any time of the year. After the city tour, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. Day 2
Gorilla Tracking Experience in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver guide who will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while on the trek. Note that gorilla trekking begins at 7:30 am you will enjoy the Rwandan hospitality of traditional dances and a hot Rwandan coffee before the beginning of the trek. Depending on the location of the family of gorillas you will trek, the driver guide will transfer you to the start of the trailhead for the allocated gorilla group. The time taken to meet gorillas varies between an hour and several hours depending on their movements in the forest seeking their food. The park authority allows visitors to spend a maximum of an hour with the gorillas. Once this time elapses, you will head back to the ground to relax at your place of accommodation. Day 3
Transfer to Lake Kivu
On this day, your safari travel guide will pick you up from the hotel and proceed to Lake Kivu for a boat ride on the lake. This is one of the most breathtaking experiences on the Lake as you will be able to view the beautiful Virunga ranges. You'll enjoy swimming on the shores of Gisenyi, Sportfishing among other activities around the area that you may opt for depending on your preference and time available. Day 4
Transfer Back to Kigali

The best and reliable experience I could have ask for.
This was a great experience coming from United States. Jason was very easy to communicate with and was very fast at emailing back or on what’s app. He made the process too easy. I had a motorcycle accident two days prior and was not sure if I could go on this mountain gorilla trekking, last second I decide I was able to. He came to pick me up on time at 0300, the vehicle was nice, clean and reliable. His English is very good and easy to understand. He had the best price compared to others.

Efficient and worthwhile tour experience
Our tour was a very worthwhile experience, a day trip from Kigali to see the gorillas in Mgahinga National park. The gorillas themselves were amazing, and the tour operator was able to accommodate us on very short notice to make it happen. We had two drivers, Alex who was clearly very experienced and helped with the border crossing, and Benson who was a joy from his genuine enthusiasm and passion of what we were doing
