Day 1
Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
Two shuttle buses depart daily from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 06h45 and 10h45. It’s a 5 to 6-hour drive from Johannesburg to Imbali Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park. We take the scenic route through the Panorama Route and the town of Hoedspruit, with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches. Arrive midday at the Mluwati Concession and book an appointment at Imbali Safari Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive in an open safari vehicle. Enjoy sundowners at a special vantage point. Later, have a 3-course dinner under the stars at the outdoor boma at Imbali Safari Lodge (weather dependent), with local wines, beers and soft drinks. Day 2
Kruger National Park
Start your day early with hot beverages and rusks before joining your ranger for a 3-hour game drive. You’ll explore Mluwati Concession as well as parts of Central Kruger Park. Return for a hearty breakfast and enjoy hours of relaxation on your private deck with its own plunge pool. Enjoy a light lunch and delicious high tea before it's time to depart for the evening game drive. You will overnight in a luxury suite at Imbali Safari Lodge. Day 5
Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
Wake up early for tea and coffee and then depart for a sunrise safari tour of the Mluwati Concession. Enjoy a light breakfast back at Imbali Safari Lodge before checking out of your chalet. You’ll be driven to Hoedspruit midmorning and then taken by shuttle bus back to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Arrive in Johannesburg between 17h30 and 18h00, depending on traffic. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
