After breakfast, depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of East Africa's largest rainforests, known for its incredible biodiversity. The drive offers stunning views of Rwanda’s lush hills and scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at Gisakura Guest House and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe’s dense forest. This unique experience takes you above the lush rainforest on a suspended walkway, offering panoramic views of the forest and the chance to spot wildlife like blue monkeys and various bird species. The walk lasts about 1.5 hours, providing an unforgettable perspective of the forest’s rich biodiversity. Afterward, you’ll head towards Volcanoes National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, head to the park office at Volcanoes National Park where your group will be assigned based on fitness and interest. Then, embark on an unforgettable gorilla trek. The trek can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, but the reward is immense when you come face-to-face with one of the habituated gorilla families. Spending time with these majestic creatures in their natural habitat is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In the afternoon, visit the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village, a community project supporting local people and conservation efforts. You’ll have the chance to learn about Rwandan traditions, watch cultural performances, and even try your hand at traditional crafts. Return to Muhabura Hotel for a well-deserved rest and dinner after a rewarding day.
