Day 1
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, guests are welcomed by our driver–guide and begin the scenic journey eastward to Akagera National Park, a drive of around 2.5–3 hours. Along the way, enjoy views of Rwanda’s rolling hills, farming villages, and lakes. At the park’s South Gate, you will proceed to Ruzizi Tented Lodge, an intimate eco-camp on the shores of Lake Ihema. After check-in, a warm lunch is served at an open-air restaurant overlooking the water. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Ihema. Expect pods of hippos, crocodiles along the banks, elephants at the water’s edge, and a remarkable variety of birds including African fish eagles and kingfishers. Return to Ruzizi for relaxation, sundowners by the firepit, and dinner under the stars. Overnight in en-suite canvas tents where the sounds of the bush create an authentic wilderness feel. Luxury tented camp located inside Akagera NP Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
After breakfast, you embark on a game drive through Akagera National Park, exploring savannah plains, woodland, and lakes. This is Rwanda’s only “big five” park, home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra, and various antelope species. The northern section of the park is particularly rich in wildlife. Midday, return to the lodge for a farewell meal before departing back to Kigali. On arrival in the capital, you check into a comfortable city hotel. Depending on energy levels, the evening can include a short city orientation tour, with stops at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, or a coffee tasting experience. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or one of Kigali’s well-known restaurants. Overnight in Kigali. Mid-range hotel located in Kigali All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
After breakfast, depart Kigali and head north to Musanze, the gateway town for Volcanoes National Park (about 2.5–3 hours). The journey reveals beautiful, terraced hillsides and views of the Virunga volcano chain. Check in at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel, a welcoming mid-range lodge close to the park headquarters. After a short rest and early lunch, proceed to the park for an afternoon Golden Monkey Trek. These playful, endangered primates live in the bamboo forests at the park’s edge. The trek is generally easier than gorilla trekking, lasting a few hours, and guests spend one memorable hour watching the golden monkeys feed and interact. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
This day is the highlight of the trip — the Gorilla trekking experience. After an early breakfast, you gather at the Volcanoes NP headquarters for a briefing, where rangers allocate trekking groups based on fitness levels and assign a gorilla family. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once the family is found, you will spend one magical hour observing them — watching mothers care for infants, juveniles playing, and the silverback keeping watch. It is an unforgettable wildlife encounter. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon can be spent resting, enjoying the lodge facilities, or visiting the nearby Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where former poachers share traditional music, dance, and stories. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Volcanoes NP (Gorillas) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive back to Kigali. Depending on flight times, enjoy a Kigali city tour: • Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial (if not done on Day 2). • Explore Kimironko Market, a bustling hub of local produce, crafts, and fabrics. • Stop at Inema Arts Center or Caplaki Craft Village for souvenirs and contemporary Rwandan art. • Enjoy lunch at a Kigali restaurant. Later, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of this memorable 5-day Rwanda adventure. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5The Trip was organized by Dagiz Travel to the Kidepo Valley National Park. Dagiz travel organized the entire trip to include transportation, meals and accommodation. Dagiz travel transport was spectacular; the car was confortable with a fully installed power supply system to charge phones, laptops and any kind of portable electronic devise. The car itself had an open roof which allowed for a grandeur view of the Kidepo Valley National Park with all its creatures and features in a safe and confortable space. The Driver and the Dagiz travel crew were hospitable offering drinks and meals during the travel (which were part of the paid for package). The travel to Kidepo Valley was quite long, but the hospitable crew made the journey interesting and bearable. For our accommodation, Dagiz travel booked us into Katurum Lodge in the Kidepo valley National Park. The accommodation was marvelous as it had a magnificent view of the Kidepo Valley National Park; not to mention the Sun Rises, the Sun Sets and the Clear Skies of the Kidepo Valley which only added to the splendor of our stay. The Katurum Lodge is a refurbished hotel, with a rich heritage having been constructed on and from the Katurum Rock... In the wee hours of the night, you can hear the Lions Roar from Katurum Lodge; and wake up to birds singing and Monkeys to disrupt your stay :) ... I loved the accommodation Dagiz Travel chose for us. It was a beautiful Lodge; with very good customer care; not to mention the camp fire which crowed our stay at the Lodge. Oh did I mention - the moon to escorted us throughout our campfire - there was that too... Dagiz travel Kept time and ensured we maximized our visit in the Northern part of Uganda by ensuring we visited the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary; which was along the route to the Kidepo Valley National Park and had the chance to visit a Karamojong community and got to experience the Karamojong culture. Because there was so much to experience, we were far to spent on time, and didn't get to visit Fort Patiko in Gulu which was part of our itinerary :(. I really loved this trip and cannot quantify the monetary but only say - thank you Dagiz travel for organizing this trip. I am looking forward to the next trip you will organize... My first trip with you was a bang, and I hope and believe the next ones will continue to blow me away.

Our trip to norther Uganda in kidepo national park was amazing, our itinerary was well organized to accommodate our needs. Our accommodation was beautiful in the center of the park, the game drive was very comfortable and much enjoyable with the open roof van. Our driver was very professional and helpful this trip was worth every penny plus we got to see the best sunrise in Africa.

Under the vast African sky in the Eastern part of Uganda, I embarked on a journey that would forever etch the beauty of Sipi Falls, Uganda, into my heart. The rugged terrain welcomed us as we set out on a guided trek to explore this hidden gem. Our first stop was at the base of the first waterfall. The sheer power of the cascading water mesmerized me, and the cool mist enveloped me like a refreshing embrace. As I gazed upwards, the sight of the water plummeting down, surrounded by lush vegetation, left me in awe of nature's grandeur. Continuing our hike, we navigated through winding paths that led us to the second and third falls. Each one was a unique spectacle, revealing its own character and charm. The second fall, framed by towering cliffs, seemed to emerge from the very heart of the earth. The third, a delicate veil of water, contrasted with its surroundings, creating a tranquil atmosphere that invited contemplation. Dagiz Travel provided an exceptional and immersive travel experience, combining expertly guided tours, comfortable accommodations, and seamless logistics for a memorable journey,, knowledgeable tour guides and diverse itinerary offerings.
