Arrival at South Luangwa National Park
On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be picked up by a representative from Kafunta Safari Lodge for your road transfer to the camp. You will be welcomed by the team with a refreshing beverage, followed by a briefing and shown to your room. Depending on your time of arrival, you will spend some time at leisure relaxing by the infinity pool before your first game drive in South Luangwa National Park. Dinner will be served in the camp. Day 2
South Luangwa National Park
You will have an early morning wake-up call, followed by an early morning tea and a start to your first-morning game drive in South Luangwa National Park. Your safari buffet brunch will be served at the lodge. You will spend some time at leisure by the pool or take this opportunity to experience the Kafunta hide as you watch wildlife wander around the floodplains. An afternoon tea will be served followed by your night safari. Dinner will be served in camp. Bush Camp Experience at South Luangwa National Park
After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Three Rivers Bushcamp where you will spend the next two nights. Three Rivers Camp is the latest addition to Kafunta Safaris’ portfolio of safari lodges and bush camps in South Luangwa National Park. The camp features 5 beautifully decorated tents, each with its own star bed platform directly connected to the tent. Sleep in or out, it is your choice! Daily activities include walking safaris and game drives in unspoiled wilderness. South Luangwa National Park-Kafunta River Lodge
After your morning activity at Three Rivers Camp, your guide will drive you back to Kafunta for your last day in this exciting safari experience. You will spend some time in the natural hot tub, the only one in the Luangwa Valley. An afternoon tea will be served followed by your night safari. Dinner will be served in the camp. After having a very disorganized experience in Tanzania via another tour operator, we were happy that our accommodation/reservations looked as pictured and were on the dates we had asked for. The guide and wait staff were great. My food request for not eating fish was upheld and luckily there was only one snack that had mayonnaise, so I could eat almost all the food. The view of the Luangwa River at Thornicroft was amazing. We saw leopards, lions, and several other types of wildlife.
