Nairobi to Aberdare
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be welcomed and transferred north towards the lush highlands of the Aberdare region. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before enjoying a relaxing afternoon surrounded by beautiful forest scenery and wildlife-rich landscapes. Guests staying at Aberdare Country Club may enjoy a guided nature walk within the property grounds, while Rhino Watch Lodge offers a peaceful setting to unwind after your journey into Kenya. Day 2
Aberdare & Solio Ranch
After breakfast, depart for an excursion to Solio Ranch, one of Kenya’s leading rhino conservation areas. The reserve is home to both black and white rhino, alongside lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and abundant birdlife. Spend the day enjoying game viewing and scenic landscapes before returning to your lodge later in the afternoon. Optional activities may also be arranged at the lodge at an additional cost. Day 3
Aberdare to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, continue north to Samburu National Reserve, a rugged and remote safari destination known for its unique wildlife species and dramatic semi-arid landscapes. After lunch and some time to relax, head out on an afternoon game drive in search of Samburu’s famous “Special Five” including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Day 4
Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu offers a truly authentic safari atmosphere and excellent opportunities to spot elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large crocodiles along the Ewaso Nyiro River. The region is also home to the Samburu people, whose rich traditions and colourful culture form an important part of northern Kenya’s identity. Day 5
Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Depart Samburu after breakfast and journey south towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this renowned wildlife conservancy, famous for its rhino conservation efforts and chimpanzee sanctuary. Ol Pejeta is one of the few places in Kenya where visitors can see the Big Five alongside endangered northern white rhinos. Optional activities include a scenic boat ride on Lake Naivasha or an excursion to Crescent Island, where guests can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelope in a beautiful lakeside setting. We were a party of 7 from SA and Germany. We had the absolute time of our lives! The communication was great, we wanted to (try) and see as much of Namibia as we could in 9 days. We went to various different places, saw all the must-sees and finished strong in Erongo, which was so luxurious. The value for money was incredible and in general the trip was hassle free, as everything was planned in advance for us. We will definitely book here again.
