Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and vibrant countryside, heading east to Akagera National Park, Central Africa’s largest protected wetland. The park, named after the meandering Akagera River, is a haven for wildlife and one of Rwanda’s premier conservation success stories. Led by an expert guide, embark on a thrilling game drive in search of the iconic Big Five, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and Cape buffalo, along with giraffes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, Topis, and countless bird species. Explore Akagera’s diverse habitats, from open savannahs and acacia woodlands to scenic lakeshores, including the picturesque Lake Ihema. Enjoy a delightful lunch at Mihindi Café inside the park.
