Your journey begins with a 5 AM pickup from your hotel in Kabale, Kisoro, Rubanda, Rukiga, Kanungu, or Butogota, offering a scenic drive as the sun rises over the misty hills. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll receive a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority and be assigned a trekking group based on your fitness level. The trek, lasting 3-6 hours, takes you through dense forests, where you'll track and encounter a family of majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat—a truly life-changing experience! Spend an awe-inspiring hour observing these gentle giants before trekking back. After the trek, enjoy a drive back to your hotel. This one-day adventure is perfect for travelers in these districts who want to witness one of the most remarkable wildlife encounters on earth.
